Clubs Stolen - East Hampton / Eastern LI NY

My father in laws clubs were stolen Sunday out in East Hampton. Let me know if anyone comes across anything. Would greatly appreciate it

 

Set as follows, don’t have full details but composition is unique enough hopefully

PXG irons 5-PW recoil shafts

Taylor made M4 driver

Rogue 3 wood (callaway)

PXG 19/22 rescues

Scotty Cameron Newport 2.6 straight shaft putter ( no offset)

Callaway wedges

Can you provide more context?

 

Why was it lying on the front lawn? Did you hear any cars taking off? How far were the clubs from the residence or car? What bag were the clubs in?

I don’t have all the details... He played in the morning on Sunday. Friend drove him. They were meeting the wives after golf. Passed by the house on the way. Leaned the clubs against the side of the garage - garage is right next to the house. Came back an hour or so later and they were gone... For those that aren’t familiar, this is as suburban as it gets - people don’t even lock bicycles in town, let alone in their yards.

Not speaking bad about an ebay seller without knowing any better, but there's a Newport 2.6 on ebay, listed Monday night, with the seller being located about 90 minutes from where the clubs were stolen from. Worth a look at least.

Omg the guy returned them back to the house! How weird is that? Insane. I like to think we spooked him but maybe he has a conscience. So strange! Thanks all!!!

Something like that happened around here recently...course employee left his bag in parking lot to lock up, a car pulls up, tosses the bag in the trunk and left. There was video of the 'theft', made the local news and social media...next day, the clubs were returned; apparently the perp took the clubs so they wouldn't get wet...yeah ok.

 

Glad the OP fam got his clubs back.

Plausible scenario: local kids steal them, their parents find clubs, kids told to return them PRONTO.

 

None the less, I believe it was someone in the neighborhood.

Glad that it all worked out. Too many stories about clubs being stolen don't have a good ending.

So literally they are out all day yesterday and come home in the afternoon and the clubs are standing right where they were as if nothing happened... no clue what happened... it’s crazy. Of course he doesn’t have the attention to detail to know whether they were even hit or not haha. Thanks to all!
