New TM p790 irons ???

Was at a recent TM iron fitting and the guys were saying they have been told, there’s new p790 irons coming. They hadn’t seen them nor had they any pics but did say they shouldn’t be to far away. Anyone got any info or heard anything?

The timing makes sense. This is the second full season for the P790, so this is the year for a refresh. Late August or mid-September seem logical based on the previous product announcement and launch, but maybe we'd see the next version of the UDI at the Open Championship?

Although discounted 790 sounds very tempting...

Will be interesting to see. I was going for a combo set with P790 in longer irons but when he said that I decided to hold off and see

Hope they put the foam all the way thru the set for consistent feel and maybe grind down the soles on the 7/8-PW

I couldn’t agree more! With the ability to order individual irons. If we could order the P7TWs as individual I’d totally order them. I just know that there is no way I could game the 3,4,5

I can't either. It would be amazing if we could blend let's say a 8-PW of the P7TW with the future P790's. A guy can dream right??

I wanted to blend them with my current 790s. I wanted to go 7-PW but no luck.....

I swear I saw a pic the 8-PW didnt but maybe im mistaken it with the 760s. Anyway im selling mine bc I dont like how the 8-PW feel dead. Could be the Slot in bottom I guess

Bring back the P750’s for us lefties. We can’t even buy a non-speed foam set at the moment. Some of us want traditional players irons without all the tech!

790s were super successful. Haven’t seen a Taylormade iron hot for that long. Was contemplating picking up a set but I guess I have to wait now!

The long irons are great (3-6). 7-pw for me are.....

If I had to guess I’d say Ti stands for Tungsten Injected.

'Ti' is the symbol used for the chemical element 'Titanium'.

I could only hope that the sole is a lot thinner than the p790, one of very few reasons I never liked them all that much.

P790 Ti irons will probably cost way more than any PXG iron if they are in fact Titanium.

The first gen p790s are great for a variety of golfers and the tech will last for years still. They will go down in the Taylormade most successful products like the first M2 driver.

I just hope the new P790 doesn't have twist face or speed injections. Just make the face hot, no need to take it over the limit and dial it back Taylormade.
