All I can find:

 

Tour Model. Features round muscle back merging into thin top line with iron number and "TOUR MODEL" in upper case letters on sole and "Titleist" script in middle of muscle back. Available finish: high gloss chrome. Distinguishing feature: wood dowel pins in hosel.

Tour Model 841. Limited edition. Same design and features as regular Tour Model but with "841" stamping on muscle back with tour preferred grinds and offered only with True Temper Dynamic steel shafts and Golf Pride Victory grips.

 

I assume these were custom ordered as what now is considered AWT or AMT with ascending weights as the irons are shorter.

Good stuff, and as you say, similar to the theory behind the AMT shafts. Whoever ordered those (back in the nineties?) was well ahead of the curve. Made me wonder if they were a pro order. No matter, I think that's a really good pick up.

These are from 1984 and I agree. Seems a "Player" had these made up as this set. Can't wait to get em on the course.

1984? That's interesting. I have a set of the Tour Models from '79 or '80 back in the UK. You got the whole set, from 1i onwards, which is really cool. Man, that's a really nice pick up. I've gotta think that's a set ordered by a pro or high am.

One of these, 4-5W. Cheap as chips at £92 brand new. I won’t be using it a lot so didn’t want to spend big money. Probably about one shot per round.

 

With a bit of luck I’ll like it and keep it for 10 years.

As much as I loved my Spider Ghost I had to give this one a try. The thing sets up so nicely. I always hit my line when I put a good stroke on it. Then again, this was all testing at the shop and none out on the actual putting green so I'm sure that won't be the case...

I have one of those and it replaced my 3 wood. Its really really good at its lowest loft setting and ADBB 7 shaft. Hit it straight.
