US Open on the clock

I just tuned in about 20 minutes ago. Are Woodland and Rose on the clock? There is one open hole between them and the next group.

I always thought it was based on position, like if there is an entire hole open ahead (like there was with Rose/Woodland) you go on the clock.

To answer your question, we don't time players unless the group is both out of position and behind the time par.

Ita stupid stuff like this that bothers me about the "slow play" crowd. There was nothing slow in any way, shape or form of the Woodland/Rose pairing. But just because they were about a hole behind a pairing that breezed through exceptionally quick, it seemed that way to the casual fan not paying attention.

Fast for a foursome, dirt slow for a twosome. 1.5 holes open - Keopke was off 18 before gw and rose putted out on seventeen. Correctly pointed out that they were time par, but still doesn't mean you wouldn't wish you had a gun to put yourself out of misery playing behind them.
