What Golf Related Father's Day Gift Did You Get

On Friday I got to invite my dad, brother, and father-in-law to play with me in a charity scramble, then on Sunday my brother joined my dad and I in our normal weekend game. Brother lives 7 hours away, FIL 8.5 hours away, so to have everyone around was great, compounded by the fact that our child celebrated his first birthday on Saturday, and got his first set of plastic golf clubs as a present!

 

It really was a special weekend.

Got this towel, some beef jerky and 101 golfing dad jokes. Perfect Father's Day. Congrats to all the other dads out there. Love reading about golfing with your kids. My 3 year old and I have been out once. He sunk a 30 footer while I was randomly taking a video of him - should be getting his card around 2036.

Got to play , and then watch the open uninterrupted for 4 hours. That’s pretty rare that I don’t get called into service once every 2 hours or so. I ask my wife regularly “ why if I’m so dumb , do I get called to help do literally everything “. She says my answer lies inside that question. Lol

 

Of course this is just she and I exchanging an understood bit of humor.

Received a half day golf school from my kids (when in Orlando next month) and a Ping G410 Hybrid.

My wife knows that I'm always looking at some golf equipment but that it could change every day, so I was instructed to get something and she and the kids would wrap it. With some store credit burning a hole in my pocket, I picked up a SKLZ Accelerator Pro putting mat and demo model Exotics Cbx 3 wood from the PGA Superstore. The best part is that the kids used the putting mat all afternoon as they hung out with me while I watched the US Open. All and all a great day.

The only thing that I received that was golf related was a new Mr. Meseeks driver headcover, which I absolutely love! I took my dad for a quick breakfast and then out to play 18 at a new course to us that is local to him and I actually almost shot my lowest round ever! I was +1 through 17 and then on 18 I hit a draw off the tee box that ended up in a river that runs parallel to the fairway on a dog leg left. I decided to be dumb and hit another off the box and did the same exact thing! :cry: Finished with a snowman on 18 and a +5 77 on the day overall, which was pretty great but not better than the 76 that I shot a week prior or the 77 I shot earlier in the week. Overall it was a great Father's day though and I suppose it'll be memorable for the "almost shot the best round ever" moment haha.

I think the old one had full length dividers to but only on the “east/west dividers”. It’s the same on this one. I loved to old and the slightly different (pocket orientation) new is just as good. So far no problem with tangling

Same idea as the Eyeline-branded target circles, but you get both the 3ft and the 6ft for the same price as one of the Eyeline circles. I've wanted one for a while but could never decide on the 3ft or the 6ft and wasn't paying $28 each for both of them, so this was a no brainer at $30 for both sizes.
