That is perfect! Really hope this makes it to retail. Don’t understand the site line obsession with retail putters. Site lines are pointless and do more harm than good IMO.

I love the Toulon stuff. However today I order a vault 2.0 Dale Anser Stealth No Line, Custom sight line on the top line, Stealth black shaft, custom Cb 60 grip, and heavy weights all for under $400. Every time I tried doing that on the garage site I was at or above $600. I totally get that price is an important component in establishing the reputation for quality, but to my eye the vault 2.0 is every bit as "premium" as Toulon. JMO.

I wonder what the price tag on this thing is going to be (if ever). Probably somewhere along the lines of a Circle T.

This is the most laughable thing I’ve seen from these guys ! Let’s see , they could have called it a Newport 2 Tri-Sole....oh that’s what Scotty calls it !!!’ ?.

What kind of joke is this ? Santa Monica how original can you be ? I guess Newport, Coronado, Del Mar and Napa were already taken ??.

If I were Callaway I’d be embarrassed at such a blatant rip-off..,.but WTF it’s Callaway and they’ll have a newer and improved version with more distance ? in just 3 months ?????.

I think we can all agree that any Anser style putter not made by Ping is technically a rip-off of Karsten Solheim's original design. Cameron made a very lucrative career from copying Ping designs, as have other manufacturers. That doesn't mean they can't put a new on slightly different spin in things. It's just the way it works. I'm no Callaway fan, but this design is no more egregious a copy than many of Cameron's (and others') offerings.

I couldn't agree more!

A few years ago I had a [thread on here about putters with no sight lines.](https://forums.golfwrx.com/discussion/258646/no-sight-line-dot-what-are-the-benefits/p1 "thread on here about putters with no sight lines.") Someone from the industry said that it's purely about sales (surprise). Even though a majority of golfers aim less accurately with a sight line on their putter, apparently putters without sight lines just don't sell, so the OEM's carry on sticking them on putters, even if a lot of people perform worse with them.

According to Bruce Rearick (Bargolf):

_At the United States Golf Academy we have measured over 30,000 putting strokes - about 2000 players on our PuttLab system.

92% perform better with their eyes closed during the stroke. (Elimination of visual interference). Less than 40% can aim the putter within 2 degrees of their chosen target with an alignment aid on the putter. (Putt missed at 12 feet) This improves to 70% without the visual references on the putter.

Only 60% can match the line on the putter to a line on the ball (within one degree). It is much worse when the sight line is in the cavity behind the face. The number improves to over 90% when there is a line on the ball no line on the putter and they square the face to the line (again within 1 degree).

Damn, for that price I'd go with a GSS Kingston KP2 and a Stability Putter Shaft.

It's clearly a Tiger inspired Newport 2. Not even an original Anser 2 copy/variation. Toulon is copying the guy who copied PIng and wants a $1000 for it? If that's true, count me out. I thought I wanted one of these...

I'm just tired of putter companies following this limited/scarcity model where the putter doesn't really cost more to make but they only make a handful so they try to charge insane prices.

It's absurd to pay more than $500-600 for a putter when you think about it. We all know the cost to make a milled putter is maybe $100. I'm willing to pay extra for the artistry and work involved but $1000 is just insane.

Inb4 the "you use your putter every hole" arguments. That has nothing to do with cost of manufacturing and pricing.

But, hear me out, it comes with a limited release ball mark with it?

I couldn’t agree more. I’d pay 450-500 max for it.
