Time for the 3rd major of the season. I'm quite disappointed that we only get 12 hours of coverage. At least the weekday coverage is during prime time. Note that the weekend coverage is on NBC, so check your DVR settings. I had to manually set up my DVR to record the weekend rounds.

The weather forecast once again looks iffy for the first two rounds with rain and a thunderstorm. Hopefully the first two rounds don't get pushed into the weekend.

Tough choices for my pick. Lexi, who's been on a tear? 6ix and Jin Young, both of whom played solid in winning the first two majors? Last week's winner, and 2016 champion Brooke? Nasa, who finished 2T last year, and 2T last week? Minjee? Nelly? Too many solid choices. I'm going to with Brooke. The course should play long, and she has length, accuracy, and can still hit greens out of the rough.

Although it's tough to repeat, it a good choice seeing she's played it 4 times and finished 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th.

I guess it's a choice between buying airtime, and writing a larger check to the winner.

Going with Lexi. But I wouldn't be at all surprised to see any of the names Argonne mentioned. I need In Gee to finish well, and would love to see a top ten for Ayako. Lots of really cool pairings. Lexi, Aryia, and Inbee; Minjee, Lydia, and Wie (healthy now..?); Danielle Kang, SHP, and Anna; and Kupcho, So Yeon, and J. Korda.

We almost went to this one (stupid work), so a little cranky watching it on TV this weekend...

I'm with you on In Gee; it would be a great time to show up and be counted.

The purported Major Queen has missed three cuts out of twelve since her Evian win; and her best finish was T16.

Hope she makes the cut followed by a strong weekend.

I thought Ann van Dam was the tour's longest hitter. Lol.

I'm always cheering on Brooke but I don't like her chances this week. There's the whole back to back thing but what might really hurt her IMO is the pairing with Penilla and Charlie. Charlie can go either way, finishing in the Top 10 or missing the cut. Bless Penilla's heart but she will will most likely miss the cut. So Brooke might have to be really focused on her game as potentially one or both her playing partners could be hitting it all over the lot.

I can't find it; but I read that Ariya's average distance from her driver isn't much longer than her 3 wood.

She might have the highest clubhead speed, but her angle of attack is such that it doesn't yield the longest distance.

Yeah I saw it to, I think it was an interview and she said she's about 15 yards longer with her driver. You are probably correct with the attack angle and the other thing is swing speed is great as long as it's under control. If you can't marry swing speed with swing tempo it's a tough game.

I was thinking her name was on the pre-tournament leaderboad in error when I saw it last night.

She just started hitting balls again **last** **week**. I wish her the best, but this looks like her previous comebacks this season. I was hoping she'd take more time off.

The choices are tough indeed, as much as I would like to see Lexi power her way to her 2nd major I don't see it. I hope I'm wrong though. I gonna bank on Sei Young to get that major, she deserves one. Jin Young and So Yeon show up as well. Madelene Sagstrom has been playing pretty well lately, minus one bad round lol. I'll take her as my sleeper. Hoping to see Bronte and Yu play some good golf too. Good luck!

I'm sticking with Nelly this week for the win. A very quiet top ten last week. She is playing with Kerr and Jin Young Ko the first two rounds. Should be fun to watch. Maria Fassi is my dark horse this week. She is playing with Shan Shan and 6ix. Her power should be an asset on this course. My over/under on Wiesy withdrawing is 16 holes, first round.

I'm looking over everyone's mentions, and I'm feeling like a first time major winner for some reason. So Nasa or Minjee. Only thing giving me pause on Nasa is she missed the cut at the last major... not sure she's been building up to a huge win like this this season. But I think Minjee has been.

Not really a fan, but if Lexi can putt like she did last week she could march straight through. Which putter will show up this week? Has her arm twitch healed hopefully?

Yep, always cheering for In Gee. 18Majors has the radar scope on her, and seemed pretty upbeat after Meijer, so that gives me hope. Really cheering for Su to repeat success again too, know she can do it.

I agree about Michelle, hearing that she's playing just makes me worry about her hurting the injury more. I felt the same way when Inbee was on her charge to play through and HoF qualify RIGHT NOW. Wish they would not risk. She must think it's safe enough though.

Inky is playing! Always exciting. She's only played five times before this season. Naturally I calmly and confidently predict I.K. to sweep through the field...

Sagstrom has been my sleeper for the past 2.5 seasons and all she’s done is sleep. I wish she’d wake up. Lol

Hi guys. I want to ask a few questions regarding the LPGA tournament this weekend at Hazeltine.

I am in the East Metro and I am thinking about going. How do I get tickets? Where do most people park? Is it hard to get in? Anyone here going??

Well for me, this event has become the Premiere Major on the LPGA, from the course they play to everything else in between. The US and British Open have a great history but on the women's side the events feel like something they have to do rather than want to do. And don't even get me started on the ANA and Evian being Majors lol

As you know, unlike US Women's Open, LPGA is actually part of this tournament. They're a minor partner to both PGA of America and KPMG.

US Women's Open was there long before LPGA existed; LPGA is a spectator just like you and I.

Women's British Open is a minor league; a tournament that needs a title sponsor.

One can buy tickets at the gate. Free parking is available at the course in lot GP. That's fairly unique, as parking is generally available offsite with shuttle bus service. The GP lot can be accessed from Pioneer Trail across the street from Chaska High School. In the event of inclement weather, you'll be directed to free parking at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, and shuttles will be provided. I have to assume that lot GP is a grass field.

Crowds at LPGA events are (sadly) pretty small, so it's easy to get in.
