I ordered 5-GW and Gen 1 bat attack. I got fit, but luckily for me the guy who fit me into my P790’s now works for PXG and he was willing to meet me at a local range. Basically ended up in same specs, 2* flat, standard length and loft. Elevate 95 regular flex. I’ll post some comparison pics when they arrive.

I've played the CF16's and Ping i500's during the last year and wondering if these would be an improvement over those clubs. I could afford the more expensive PXG's but not sure my game deserves to spend that much money. I think I might give them a call tomorrow and talk to one of their fitting specialists.

It's not stalking, you do post a lot and seem to always be talking about different irons you're playing. Off the top of my head I remember you having Cobra F9s and also Srixon z585 too. A lot of people here enjoy buying new equipment, so you're in the right place. It's just notable if you read the equipment threads with any regularity.

You are right about one thing. I've tried a lot of different clubs looking for the ones that work the best for my game. I'm not sure that should be the goal because as I have discovered (ever so slowly), sometimes it takes a while (a long while) to grow into a set of clubs. I still consider myself a newbie when it comes to golf... this is my 4th year and of course, I started late, so I keep thinking there's a magic bullet out there somewhere.

I hope I didn't offend you with my stalker talk... I was joking of course. I do enjoy this forum... more than any others... because the golfers on this forum seem to be better informed and better educated about golf and golf equipment.

Golf is clearly my passion at this point in my life... so much so that I take our entire company out for 9 holes of golf once a week. Almost all of them have become as passionate as I have.

FYI - Right now I'm enjoying the Apex CF19's but that doesn't mean I won't change anytime soon. I still have the i500's and Z585's and of the two, I like the Z585's much better. But I'm going to stick with the Apex for now because they just seem to be working for me.

That's cool you take your company out for 9 holes every week! I wished I worked for someone like you when I was working.

Not at all, I think many of us here suffer from the falling for the allure of new equipment - either because it's fun/shiny/makes us feel good, or because we think there will be a magic stick that will solve our problems. And I wasn't the original poster you replied to, just chiming in on the topic. I admire your zest for new equipment and hope when I'm retired I get to do the same. Do whatever makes you happy, everything else is just chatter. I've purchased my fair share of equipment in my 4 short years of playing golf, too. So no judgment here!

Just my luck that I play Friday, Saturday and Monday coming up and the clubs should be here on Tuesday! Did you order with Elevate shaft or upgrade?

Thanks for the reply. Nice to know I'm not alone. There are a few clubs that I'm really happy with and not looking to replace:

Driver - Tour Edge EXS 10.5 - really enjoy hitting this when I find the sweet spot.

3w and 7 heavenwood - Epic Flash - solid performers

Mack Daddy 48* and 54* - really great wedges now that I have a stiffer shaft in them - probably my most reliable club and I use it a lot

I hit these and while they are good and long as hell, they feel nowhere near the forged Gen 1/2 irons. I like the design and the progressive change throughout but I can’t get over the feel of them compared to my other PXG irons.

Now $350 a club for Gen2 seems Heroes pricing changes weekly.

Any updates from anyone gaming these? I’ve been looking everywhere for reviews and pictures of the various irons and haven’t found much. I’m curious to see the top view of each of the irons through the progression, as well the sole widths.

> I have played PXG since Gen 1 and have had a few different iterations of X,XF,P I currently have Gen 2 Combo in SGI, XF and P. I've compared PXG to most everything else such as 790, G700, i210, JPX 919 HM and Forged as well as Z585 and CF16. The PXG has the great combination of GI/SGI irons with least amount of offset in the XF line. There's less offset still when you compare the P to 919 Forged and the 790 also the 585. I'm a normal working husband and dad with 2 kids, 2 car pmts and 2 dogs. I say that as I play golf with guys like me and I certainly take my share of jabs about WITB from time to time.

> That being said you have to appreciate the numerical nomenclature of PXG and it's ties to USMC. 0311 infantry, 0211 recruiter. At this price point the 0211 gets you excited about the product. The 0211 is your letter of intent to be one of #thetroops.

An 0211 is actually Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence (HUMINT)

Thanks for the pics. They look good but definitely look long in blade length. How are they visually to you? When it’s just the iron and the ball do they feel long?

Thanks again, I know that’s a lot of work posting up the pictures and taking them. What are your initial thoughts while looking at them from address?

They are a little longer in blade length but from the address position it’s hard to tell. I lost all confidence in my P790 5 iron so I was looking for a little more forgiveness.
