Okay, you have my attention. That shaft for me has made any wedge feel like butter. If these are legit soft on their own, these could feel like my wedge was legit a marshmallow (which is cool with me).

Agreed, I love the blacked out with orange accents of the King Wedges and MB’s.

I hit a 60° in the new wedge today. It felt really good. Soft off the face. Weight with the Hi Rev 125 was about perfect.

How does the wedge look from address? Does it have a rounded or straight leading edge? How much offset?

I see these are only going to be offered in one grind, is that correct? Is this wedge like a phase one and then there will be a phase two in different finishes or something with more grinds? Not that I care, I prefer the satin/chrome look and their versatile grind.

Sadly, disappointed given the hopes I had for them. While they look amazing (my personal favorite in terms of looks is the RTX4) and perform on par with most other major brand wedges, there was no difference in feel between them and the Cobra PUR wedges (so not buttery soft as claimed using ProV1s). In terms of performance they were on par with the performance of SM7, RTX4, and MD4s. So, they weren't bad, but they did not meet my expectations. If you are a "Cobra" person you could totally game these and feel confident in your decision, but for my game there is just too much of a vast performance distance between the 3 I narrowed my choice down to and those above.

 

I will be going with the best deal I can find on one of the following three:

TaylorMade Hi-Toe (first choice) - 800 rpm more per wedge than the highest performer above

TaylorMade Milled Grind (second choice) - 500 rpm more per wedge than the highest performer above

Ping Glide 2.0 (third choice) - 400 rpm more per wedge than the highest performer above

I'm gaming the pre-PUR King Wedges. I don't see myself springing for anything more expensive for a couple hundred more revs of spin, unless I find a great deal on the BST. I'll for sure need to hit the MIM wedges against some of the others to really know if I want them, hope to do so tomorrow.

I was able to hit the 56* demo club today against my current King wedge, and it felt a bit more "solid" off the face with a lower sound. Overall, felt good. Considering I'm due for an upgrade, I'm likely going to order a set of 54/58. Not sure about the hi rev 2.0 shaft as stock. Seemed to lack feel compared to the modus 125 I'm used to, even though the weight is similar (125g vs 132g). I'll probably stick with the same shaft I'm playing.

 

Also got to hit the F9 - club is a beast!

Finally had a chance to practice and play with these. No bunker shots yet, I'd rather not destroy the grooves right out of the box. Course conditions are very soft here, as we've had near record rain this month.

 

Clubs spin incredibly well, and are precise when it comes to yardage/build from factory to my specs (standard everything haha, 115 modus in 50/54, 125 modus in 58). Grooves have a unique "spiral" CNC milling that almost looks circular, but isn't upon closer inspection. Feel is definitely unlike any other wedge I've ever hit. Not cast feeling, not forged feeling. Something different entirely. A very distinct and confident, deep sound when you strike them well. Overall, I can easily recommend these if you have a chance to hit them in person. I wouldn't recommend ever buying any wedge sight unseen.

Spin shouldn’t be the deciding factor in choosing a wedge, so many variables on the course that cancel out TrackMan numbers.

I bought about 4 weeks ago and I think they have way better feel than any Vokey wedge i've ever used or played with. They also have great spin!!!!

Black is coming. They look so good.

Each new Cobra wedge scored fairly well on the new Spy websites wedge testing. Not top 3, but top half (better than Vokey).
