I really liked the ES grind in the previous models. I assume that is gone. Man, those Eye 2s are hard to look at.

They look nice, but the Eye2 replacing the ES is a bummer for me. I love my Stealth ES and was hoping it would evolve.

Well we're not sure yet. This is just what they're showing right now. When it gets into July and PING updates their site, then we'll know for sure.

Ditto about the ES change. I love my current 58/ES and was hoping the Eye 2 would be another option, not a straight up replacement for the old ES head design, but it looks like that's the case.

Aside from the rounding at the top, it looks like they added more rounding near the hosel and added another groove at the bottom.

The Eye2 version is alright. The others look less appealing to me than the Glides and Glide 2.0 Glide 3 look like a cross between the Ping tour gorge and Marvel's MCU Captain America. Just goes to show newer is not always better.

Welp glad I got my 2.0 Stealths....These look way more rounded, more offset, and the transition from the hosel to leading edge looks worse.

Would it be to much to ask Ping to make a whole new set of Eye 2's to match these wedges?? Really looks a ton like a modern day version of this classic iron, which I believe would sell like hotcakes! I know I'd be first in line to purchase a set.

That's kind of what set these apart when the Eye2's initially came out back in the day (although these were a set). They were ugly as sin, but they worked. They were the precursor to the first PM wedge that Roger Cleveland made for Phil. The grooves don't go all the way over though.

Guess it's time to order the old ES versions before they are gone. Don't like the new shapes.

+2. Was about to order glide stealth set. Then saw these might be coming soon. Should have just ordered the stealth, not liking the leading edge and hosel look.

In the old days these are just the Gap, Sand and Lob wedge that are part of your i200 iron set. Love the eye 2 and will no doubt own one

Very happy with what Ping has been doing the past few years. Keep up the great work. My daughter is now playing the Prodi G and they are also great.

If that 46* is a indication of the shape Ping is headed w the iBlade/210 replacement things look good.

The Glide Forged have offset. I'm wondering if they took some of that input and applied it here. I wouldn't mind, as I like a little offset in wedges, but I will likely stick with my Stealth 2.0's.

Even more disappointing was that I tried to order Glide 2.0 heads (54/SS and 58/ES) from Ping earlier this month and was told they had been discontinued pending the release of the 3.0s -- both the satin an stealth versions.

 

I have never known Ping to discontinue new purchases of a line of clubs before the next gen had even been announced. PGASS put my order in on Saturday and was informed the next Wednesday that Ping wasn't going to fill it.
