Phil puts xhot 3deep back in play

Anyone else see phil using the 3deep in the travelers? Seems like he has not put it in play for quite some time now.

As much as I love watching Lefty play, it's almost like he's only going to catch lightning in a bottle once every year or so. I wish it was more often, but with the depth of the fields in this day and his age.....not going to see it much anymore.

And he seems to burn out after a few months. I do like that he's moved to not playing the week before a major. Not sure if this is entirely age driven or a function of not liking the tournament ahead of the major this year vs. years past. He said "no" to the Scottish again this year, so I tend to think it is age related.

 

I was impressed by the 3 Deep photos (I had one for a while and still use the X Hot Pro 5 wood). Although I wonder if he's giving up too much yardage to too many good players these days vs. 6 years ago. Probably doesn't matter much - only so much is going to happen with him whatever he does these days (unfortunately).

Yeah, I've always wondered how close the X Hot or RBZ Stage 2s are to the current offerings. Not saying there's no difference but these two are the series that moved to the thinner faces, so my gut has always said they are fairly close.

Also won the Scottish, and T2 at the US Open that year, with that club. Pretty good run.
