3D Printed Ball Stencil

So I realized around the beginning of a round I was playing the other day that the ProV1 stamp on my ball was ever so slightly curved to one side. As I normally just use that to align my putts, it was really throwing me off, and I've decided to go with the sharpie/stencil route. However, I also don't like paying 15 bucks for an easily breakable piece of plastic, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a 3D printer file that could be used to make a golf ball stencil. Ideally I just want a straight line or even something like Callaway's Triple Track, and since I have access to a 3D printer at school I figured this could be a cool way to get some original markers for my ball.

Thanks guys - saw both of those with some light google searching but I can't seem to find one that's just a straight line. My CAD experience is from approximately 7 years ago so I'm not quite sure how I could manipulate those to work.

I've had a Line-M-UP for like 15 years now. Only way I could see it breaking is straight up stomping on it on a hard surface or running it over with a cart.

 

Don't know why you would spend the time and effort relearning and applying all the CAD stuff when you could just buy one for $15.

1-1/4" PVC coupler will fit a ball allowing for a line to be drawn around its equator.

$7 on amazon prime.

 

I think the PVC coupler wins unless you want the extra lines the line em up gives. PVC coupler is likely less than $1.

Haha realistically I don't quite care about the 15 bucks. I'm a tinkerer by nature and I like creating things with my hands I can use. I also quite like Calloway's triple track alignment, but hate their balls. I guess my question is more if someone had a 3D template to attempt to print something. Figure it's a cool project and I could branch it out into making any alignment I'd like.

honestly modifying the cad is not even hard if you are set on the 3d printing route

if you have a 3d printer you should get good at it anyway since you have aspirations of making it into any alignment you want.

If not are you just taking it into a 3d print shop? bet they could quickly modify the file for you.

Good point - I have access to a number of 3D printers at school. So I should probably learn how to modify it myself. Thanks for the link too, that's one of the better looking ones I've seen

Nice! You can make a golfwrx one after you perfect it and monetize your investment into learning cad lol

I know you are looking for a 3d printer model to make one your own. I too got tired of those cheap plastic ball markers. So I searched a long time and found this, https://groovefix.com/linefix360-16-p.asp. It is made of aluminum and works great.
