ASICS golf shoes

they appear to be a more traditional looking (Think FJ Icon Black) golf shoe, probably from their Japan only line. Think Matsuyama wears a similar style.

I think that's what set's them apart from the everyday mass market golf shoes such as FootJoy, Adidas, Nike or Sketchers

I originally got a pair while on a holiday in Japan - they're so good I got another pair from Amazon when I made a trip to the US after a couple of years of wear and tear of the Japanese pair. The Japanese ones are a bit more expensive... because they're made better - the insole in the USA version was noticeably inferior, so swapped it out with the Japan insoles.

Top Tip: the Japanese shoe size system is the most (only) sensible one - it's basically Mondo sizing which skiers will be familiar with. The shoes size is the foot length in cm - so you can stand on a sheet of paper against a skirting board, mark the end of your foot and measure it in cm and there you go.

How is the boa system with the "knob" on the side of the foot instead of in the back where FJ hides it?

uh .... no. these are lighter and have more mid sole cushioning. You can play 36 without complaint.

I have two pair of Asics Golf Shoes, the Sunbelt and the Linksmaster. Both are very comfortable. I bought them both 3 years ago, just before they disappeared in the US. I contacted Asics as I wanted to buy more pairs of the Sunbelt, and they said that they were getting out of the golf shoe business, at least in the US. Too bad because they are one of a few shoe companies that fit my feet well.

They are a great fitting very comfy shoe.

Played their tennis shoes exclusively for years and they were the only one i could get to hold up on hard and soft courts longer than a few months. I didn't know they made a golf shoe, so i am looking forward to finding a pair to try on.

Bought a pair (BOA model) very recently and they might be the most comfortable golf shoe I've ever worn in 35 years of playing the game. As a reference, I also find the FootJoy Fury a very comfortable shoe.

Mark Crossfield had a black pair in a recent video, they looked great. I need golf shoes like a hole in the head, but those were nice.

Srixon.com has them now but only the two gel models. Not attractive imo.

I have the blue pair and the white pair - they look much better in person than in the renders on the Srixon site. I wore Asics golf shoes for a couple of years until they basically stopped selling them in the US. The were very comfortable and looked great, though they had a pretty high heel drop, which was unusual for a golf shoe (IMO). These new shoes have a much less noticeable heel drop and are very comfortable.

How do they fit, wide or narrow? I have a somewhat wide foot, and wear the wide fit for adidas, sketchers, or new balance shoes. How do these compare?

I have the Gel Ace Pro X BOA, and they fit my narrow feet perfectly. To the point where I sometimes don't even have to tighten the laces. Granted I wear a size 9US so the smaller size might be on the narrow size.

I have a pair of Oakley Carbon Pro and PUMA Ignite premium (both non BOA) and the ASICS are by far the most comfortable. Big fan of the their shoes in general, I have two pairs of their running models as well.

I had some Adidas Traction Tour do that, never bought Adidas again!

I think hot conditions can be detrimental to the glue, so shoes left in the boot for instance are at risk... especially here in Australia, the hottest country on Earth apparently! My Oakleys however are still going strong

I got a pair of the Boa, they fit just like my Asics Gel Nimbus running shoe, most comfortable golf shoe ive ever had.

Normal I would say...good fitting shoe which one could use to jog in- if one were so inclined.
