Actually earned himself 3 points with his made cut at Rocket Mortgage (unfortunately for him he threw up an 80 in the 3rd round).

 

Unfortunately even par 71 in the first round at Deere and working on a 75-77ish round right now in round 2 and looking like another MC. Hasn't broken 70 even on the Korn Ferry tour in 4 events this year. Hate to say it but its looking like time is running out on the guys career.

Gankas said in separate podcasts that he'd like to work with Smylie and Jason Day. He seemed to feel quite strong that Smylie's game could be resurrected.

I saw smylie on Tuesday during practice round, playing with couple other guys. Saw his tee shot on par 3, like 210 or something. His first shot was compressed but a huge block to the right, second shot he pulled way left. After the two shots shots, he was stretching his arms going in circles and acting like his upper back or something was bothering him. Didn't look good

His medical exemption is done. No starts left on it per the PGA Tour.

10 scores posted. 6 scores of 73 or better, 1 score of 74. When people talk of not being able to break a certain score they don't use their round average.

He can still play on the PGA tour, he is in the opposite event this week, as he still has some PGA Tour status (Past CHampion), Can play KF Tour as well.

Just looked up first finals series field for Korn Ferry next week and SK is in this field, I thought it was top 75 from Korn Ferry combined with 126-200 from PGA tour.... how on earth has Smylie qualified for this ?

Good questions. Seems Kaufman gets into the KF playoffs due to being on a medical extension for part of the 2018/19 season. Found this on a PGA Tour media website.

This is a trainwreck, wasn't he in the final pairing at the Masters? I think there'd be much strain in his marriage too as the woman was surely looking forward to posh tour wife lifestyle .

I was neither here nor there on him before, seemed like a nice kid but he didn't put me up nor down but like you, thanks to this thread, I really want him to rediscover his game and get back to being a winner on tour.
