Overrated: New clubs, the driving range, Scotty Cameron/ProV1, Nike

Underrated: New grips, playing 9, Wilson Staff, Travis Mathew

Overrated = drawing lines on your golf balls, my ocd kicks in and don’t like it.

Underrated = Rangefinders, I’m the only one in my weekend league that has one. Some have GPS but imo it’s not the same.

Under rated:- Athletic ABILITY.

Some people are naturally good athletes and others will NEVER be any good because they have no coordination !

Overrated: ANY golf equipment that came out since 2010 (IMO we "maxed out" on technology back in the 2000s)

Lines on balls/ Tees

Too many bad putters spend way to much time lining up ALL their putts with lines on their ball.

Tees are the Swiss Army knife of golf. You can use them as a divot repairer, ball marker, head scratcher, partner picker, spike and groove cleaner. Can also be used to elevate the ball off the grass before hitting.
