Golf Ball Question...which one next?

If I love playing the Srixon XV because how it comes off the driver but would like a ball that doesn't balloon on the mid-short irons, which ball should I try next? I like the feel of the high compression, but I impart a lot of backspin on my approach shots that seems to make this ball come up surprisingly short at times. What should I try? TP5x, MTB-X?

I haven’t had balloon issues with tp5x. Give them a try. I have heard Bridgestone bx are good as well

I've been playing the MTB X from Snell and not seeing any ballooning. Great distance, consistent penetrating ball flight, and excellent response off the scoring irons.

I'm working on hitting down on the ball this season and getting my ball flight under control...

Played the TP5x today for the first time and they were fine. Decent spin but didn't go crazy. I didn't launch any moon balls.

My favorite ball this season has been the Bridgestone B X. It worked well for me everywhere and I loved my trajectory when I hit it well. If I had to stop and pick a ball today, it would be this one... but Snell gets one last shot at my bag.

I'm trying the MTB Black on Friday or Saturday... Hoping to finally be done chasing golf balls.

(I've also tried the MG C4, Srixon Q Star, MTB-X*, ProV1x and they were all decent). The Kirkland K3 did NOT work for me.

 

*I tried the MTB-X as my first ball of the season... I have made some decent changes to my swing, so I can't properly evaluate them.
