What's happened to all the YTubers?

Seems like most of the big names in YouTube golf has gotten too big for themselves lately. Everyone from Shiels, Finch, M&MG, and even Golfholics, have backed off of creating any new, regular content. Not sure if they are becoming too big for YT and/ or have other commitments with sponsors, etc. but the lack of content is disappointing for someone who enjoys seeing their sites each week. The only one that produces regular content lately is Crossfield, and a few other 'startups'. I'm curious how guys like Shiels and Finch make money and they don't produce regular videos and have stated that the only teach one day per week. Any thoughts?

I guess that's the point. Shiels, Finch and M&MG were always 3x per week or more at times. Now they only put up content 1x per week typically. Golfholics was always M-W-F each week and now even they don't post as often. They must be making money some other ways and/ or posting on other platforms as well. I guess some of them will eventually be on Golf Channel, etc. and limit their YT posting as they are trying to climb the ladder of success ultimately.

Shiels has put out less on YouTube for some time. Finch 2X per week, sometimes 3. Crossfield pretty much daily, meaningless yuck it up play.

On the other hand Finch, for example, has stuff up on Instagram all the time. I don't do Twitter. But maybe they are directing their social media where it is doing the most good, who knows.

I think people completely sleep on how much effort goes into putting out these kinds of videos. It could easily be 8-10 hours or more of editing work to put out a high quality vlog. And that doesn't include the work/effort that goes into getting footage for the vlog itself. If you've ever seen one of their behind the scenes clips, they bring a ridiculous amount of stuff just to a round of golf. Drone, two vlog cameras, tripods, go pro size cameras - it seems like a ton. I'd much rather see 1-2 videos a week from them that are high quality. If they tried to pump out more but they were garbage, people would be in here complaining about instead.

Rick has already been on the Golf Channel and he and Finch seem to travel around to a handful of the Euro Tour stops as well.

And personally, I dont really have the time to watch a YT channel that churns out too much content. For me, 1-2 a week would be the sweet spot.

I watched a food blogger i follow on youtube mention pretty much the same thing. He posted a video on how much time and effort goes into producing especially when its just a one-man show after some guys left comments about meeting up in whatever city the blog was about. The videos were shot 2 to 3 weeks ago with about a day or two worth of video editing for just 20-30 minutes of footage. I actually don't mind only seeing some of the golf bloggers i follow only post once a week. with my schedule and my family life i don't really have a lot of time to devote watching stuff on my iphone or ipad (unless it's in the bathroom)
