Checked Something Off My Golf Bucket List - Not Quite How I Expected It Though

At my age there are not too many things left on my golf bucket list. One thing that has been on it for a long time is to shoot a bogie free round. I've had some low scores like -4 a few times and -5 once, but all of those rounds had at least one bogie. Today I shot my first bogie free round. Sadly my final score was 78 on a par 73 as I had two doubles and a triple. I didn't even realize it until my buddy mentioned it as the anticipation of a bogie free round crashed with the first double.

 

While I can technically cross that one off my list I think I'll keep it on there until I do it right.

I'm impressed RS. but then I am always striving for a double bogie free round, and have to have one to shoot 78.

Bogie Free Round implies 'Par or Better' **only** from my perspective. I wouldn't even consider the phrase "technically I can cross that off the list".

Unfortunately I've had those rounds...last one I remember was our first 9 hole league night. Tripled the first hole. Played 2 under the rest of the round for a 37. No bogies.

Been there, done that. Happy about the score but annoyed by that first hole.
