I dont see anywhere in the official release notes where pre orders are mentioned. That seems to have only been mentioned on the wrx posting and other 3rd party posts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And @Pinging77 where did the number 6000 come from? And which reps?

I have had 3 Scotty blades and have never been as consistent as I have been with mallets. So for me no haha. Would be collector item piece most likely.

I ordered a Newport 2 this morning... super pumped! My dad has the Teryllium Ten Newport 2.5 and I've always loved the feel of that putter.

Now on the cameron site it says 'available at titleist golf shops worldwide august 16'. Dont recall seeing that verbage yesterday.

Where I pre-ordered mine I was told they're getting 6 total. One 34" and one 35" in each model.

Talked to my local shop. He said it has been crazy. They took my order and payment for a 34 inch Newport 2. He said that was how they were managing demand and the only way to ensure one was mine. I had no problem with that. No markup from them either.

I just got confirmation that a Newport T22 has been reserved for me. Very excited for this, nostalgic flat stick here.

 

My first Scotty Cameron was an original Teryillium.

I was able to reserve a Newport and Newport 2 with my local shop (I know the manager well). I have no interest in playing with these--only interested in selling for max profit.

I'm guessing the going price on the secondary market will be $1200 right after release and maybe it calms down to $1000 a few months later.

Actually, I'm just kidding. I could have ordered one or two but passed. I don't go for black putters and I'm not a fan of flippers. If it was natural silver though...

 

I do think the secondary market is going to be en fuego.
