+1, I was a big fan of the REL 3Gen ...

Long long time Lamkin guy. Crosslines were standard. Decades. Them the golfwrxer in him caught hold about the Torsion grip and its short era. Yes, they were a little heavy but damn they looked cool. As someone on here has noted, Lamkin keeps discontinuing models that JP likes! Figures, always an odd ball. Now using UTx std size cords with numerous wraps and of course, they are being phased out. Was going to try their players grip but it seems also to be on its way out.

The choices today are great from so many quality manufacturers. It wasn’t always a matter of choice.

Wrap grips are just plain great. Jack Pearsall Only uses them on drivers and woods.

Please let me know how that goes. I am a lover of the CP2 Wrap in mid but they wear faster than I would like them too. Prior to that I played the same standard crossline for 8 years, just kept them washed and they were great, never changed them

How did the shootout go? I just put the Sonar wrap on a few clubs and like it. How much different is the sonar tour?

Does anyone have an in person picture of the crossline plus golf grips? Doesn't matter if it's the wrap or not. I want to see the color better. Can't tell if it's black, grey, or graphite colored. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. I just got one in hand also. Very similar in color to the utx gray, maybe a shade or two different to my eye but very close. I wish it had black paint fill like the utx, but it still looks good. I'll throw it on a club soon and see how it works for me.

And this is why I stick with a Standard Tour Velvet Nowadays.

The new Crossline wrap looks good but I can find it anywhere online, even their website?

Couldnt be more right with this post. Nailed it.

It's a little tiring to have to stock pile grips because Lamkin do a run for maybe 12-18 months. Their product strategy is very short sighted.

I'm currently putting away Sink HD SQ11s but I missed the boat on the 3Gen Performance Plus midsize, they turned this into the JR Grip for Rose but it disappeared shortly after that without really being stocked. Just a poor business proposition.

Finally installed the mid wrap and can compare them to the CP2 Wrap from GP.

Both are great grips, slightly different tactile feel between them due to the surface texture. The lamkin is a touch more firm feeling as well.

Time will tell, but the Lamkin looks like it will be a lot more durable than the GP. I have some thumb wear spots on the GP I didnt like.

I can see my self making the full switch to Lamkin.

I did this comparison between grips install on two different sets of wedges.

Just wanted to post a follow up. The crossline plus is a phenomenal grip. If you like a built up lower hand you'll love this grip. Great tackiness.

I will second this! Switched my whole set over to the crossline plus. Favorite grips I’ve had in a long time!

How many wraps would you estimate it feels like the Lamkin Crossline Plus Golf Grip Has in the lower portion of the grip? Taper wise would you say the taper profile is identical to the Golf Pride MCC +4?
