Nashua CC

Just curious if anyone here is a member or has been a member at Nashua Country Club? Just looking for some info on the course, the club, and the people most importantly. I think a good membership is crucial.

I'm looking to move within 20 minutes and am interested in the club. Played the course one time before but it was a while ago and don't really remember much about the course.

I love the fact that they have curling and are building simulators. That really would help with the winter cabin fever (which is getting pretty bad at the moment).

Appreciate any insight.

I can't share any personal experiences about the course but I have never heard a bad comment from friends at other private courses that have played there. Feedback seems to be it is a fun members track with challenging greens to keep approaches interesting from any angle.

My reply is that I am a golfer in summer and curler in winter. I know a couple dozen Nashua members from curling and they are all great guys. They have fun, are competitive, support each other on the ice. If the rest of the membership is anything like their curlers you are checking into a good spot.

Curling is ridiculously fun. Seriously. Anyone can play and enjoy it, but not anyone can get good. Makes the game more entrancing!. Nashua has a brand new curling facility so if you join definitely give it a try for a season!

So big time positive on the members as seen through curling eyes.

I play out of Abenaqui and we have a two day home and home Ryder cup event with Nashua every year. Have yet to meet a bad guy over there and they have some really solid golfers. It’s a very family oriented club with tons of amenities though some of the facilities are a little dated - lots of construction was happening over there last May when I was there last. Golf course is a fun old school parkland style layout - albeit a little short - that’s well conditioned. I don’t recall hitting more than 5 or 6 drivers.

I appreciate the info gentlemen. One of the reasons I'm really interested is not just the golf, but the curling as well. Never played but it seems like an awesome time. And you get to use the club year round which helps you get more value out of the membership. Great to hear the members are fun too. Thanks again

im not a member at nashua cc, but i have family that are so i have been there a lot. they just built an entire new building with curling and a few bays with trackmans. they are also building a brand new pro shop and adding a snack shop at the turn. they got a few clay tennis courts, a pool and small gym. the clubhouse is a little dated and the membership tends to skew a bit on the older side, but i guess many of these established CCs do. pretty tight knit group there and can always find a game that fits your skill there.

the course is always in immaculate condition. it is a fun track with no real quirky holes, however it runs a bit on the short side. the range and short game practice area is great. if i lived closer to that area, it would seriously consider joining.

hope that helps!

Old thread but I play out of NCC. It’s fairly short (6,500 yds tipped out). The greens are fast and challenging. The course conditions are top notch. Pretty straightforward layout. No goofy holes. Most holes are tree lined and the fairways aren’t super wide. It’s hard to lose many balls but easy to get into the tree lines and have to punch out or go over.

Nice people there. Bunch of very good players in the club. You can find a game at any skill level, though. They’ve invested a lot of money in the new curling rink, simulators and pro shop. The clubhouse is old but has now been mostly renovated over the past 10-15 years. Food is good. I have no interest in curling but it keeps the place lively all winter.
