Why don't they make golf shirts longer?

I'm neither tall nor overweight. Yet I'm constantly struggling to keep shirts tucked in. They're so concerned about making them wider, sleeves too ...presumably for fat guys. Why not more length to make sure theyre tucked in for everyones benefit?

This x1000. Picked up a couple pair of Puma shorts that have this in it, they make a world of difference.

When I'm wearing my cargo shorts, I don't tuck them in, lol. When I'm wearing jeans, ALWAYS tuck them in - I have standards! I'm 6'2", have a normal torso for my height - never have an issue with Criquet golf shirts being long enough, which is pretty much all I wear, except for a Charleston Green which is a perfect fit and plenty long (reminds me I should buy another), in any pants whether at work on Fridays or on the course.

It's not that easy.. I have several diff shorts with the sticky waistband and my shirts constantly untuck. I am neither fat or skinny.. It's a body type thing. FootJoy has a longer front and tail to help, I am trying them next.

As a short guy, I find most golf shirts to be too long.

Longer? Give it a few years. Most will grow into a shorter length shirt ... and pants. Getting old is fun. Barber now says after cutting my hair, "trim your ears, or just part the hair down the middle?"

Imo theyre just cheap. That extra 2-4" to make them stay tucked adds up in fabric costs multiplied over thousands of shirts.

I’m actually wondering why they make them so long tbh. If I wear a polo with shorts when I’m not playing golf I don’t tuck it in. I live in SoCal too so maybe we can get away with not tucking in with shorts if you’re not at an old school country club. So I’d prefer them shorter. Go FJ if you want long. They hang to my knees. Golf attire can be an odd thing but it evolves just like everything else I suppose

i'm 6'3" and have a longer torso -- i deal with this all the time. i hate it.

Go to a big and tall mans store, even if your only a L or XL, they will have LT and XLT tall versions. Of course the selection is going to be limited but those things are loooong.

You can always tuck your shirt into your boxers if you don't want to spend money.

All the golf shirts I buy are long enough, some are too long. I wear a belt so no issues with them coming untucked either.

I'm about 6'1 6'2 and wear a medium, certain brands I definitely experience the length issue. However, I find brands like RLX, Fairway and Greene, Peter Millar, and Nikes TW line to all be pretty lengthy and stay tucked in well. Maybe check out some of those to solve the issue.

Nike actually makes a golf polos that are labeled tall. They are about 3-4 inches longer

there might be up to a two inch difference in overall body length of a size Large , depending on the manufacturer.

I'm just over six foot vertical. Consider that slacks are now styled with shorter rises and the combination can cause the untuck that accompanies a golf swing.

Not a fan of long golf shirts here... When they get too long they can restrict my movement/ I can feel them catch/rub during my swing.

Agree. I like Travis Matthew shirts because of the fit in the arms and the chest, but in terms of length they have some work to do. They’re constantly coming untucked.

I get Nike large tall at Kohls...they fit great

I find the FJ shirts stay tucked in a bit better. They usually run big though, so that could be why.

I am 6' 5" and I generally never have an issue with golf shirts being short. I wear a L generally, sometimes an XL. I typically have about 3 - 4 in. below the belt line if I want to tuck in. I have a whole assortment of manufacturers, Walter Hagen, PGA, Columbia, Oxford, Monterey Club, Cutter and Buck, etc. In long sleeve shirts (dress), some manufacturers have short torsos, but I buy Jos A Banks shirts with a 36" sleeve, and have no issues.
