Just picked up this beaut.

Betti BB8c - DASS - Steel Patina - Micro Honeycomb - 355g -Sound Slot

 

It is absolutely the wrong putter for my stroke, but I had to try. The finish is awesome. Lots of character, need to do one of these in a QB9 head.

I've been rolling this indoors on my PuttOut ramp/mat/mirror setup for the last few weeks and I think it's a winner. It feels great with the FIT face and puts a very nice roll on the ball. Looking forward to the snow melting and getting it out on the course next month sometime.

Here's my only two Betti's nothing rare or exquisite but man...after discovering them only a few weeks ago...I'm hooked! I plan on adding others to my collection of flatsticks!

 

A couple quick questions for the experts...what does Bettinardi call that dark finish? Dark Midnight? And second, does it require drying and oiling to avoid rusting/oxidation?

 

 

Oh...the paint fill was done by the PO, and not very well at that...I plan on re-doing it in the near future!

Here are my 2 Betti's, neither are being gamed at the moment, I'm waiting for KBS to come out with the .355 putter shaft and want to clean these up at bit as well.

How do you like the ghost face?? Looks so sick. Thoughts on comparison to traditional fit face or other milling? Contemplating it for my next custom!

I haven't gamed either of the putters that I have with the ghost face but based on some carpet rolling at home, I'd say it is the firmest of all of the faces with the most pronounced sound (more of a click) - certainly felt the biggest difference compared to the fit face but less of a difference compared to the flymill face. If you are used to a fit face, it will feel the most different and take some getting used to. I think I like it quite a bit but won't know for sure until I get it out on the course!

Good to know! I’ve had 6 customs. All DASS, 2 with fit face (which I enjoyed) 3 with fly mill, and one with a copper insert (probably my fav). Would love to maybe check out a ghost face on carbon for my next. Trying to inquire about a 3 step jam lefty...

I have a few with copper inserts and while I like them, I haven’t really gamed them - I should had some point.

 

Not sure if they do the ghost face on carbon - the two I have are DASS and I haven’t seen too many others.

 

The 3 step jam putters look incredible - not sure I could game one based on my stroke but I love the way they look. I just bought one at the social - I’ll find some pics and post them.
