My old Ginty. Devastated when the head finally cracked. Could hit that from anywhere from any lie.
Played with a fella at Spyglass last weekend - a great player - who still had his Callaway War Bird 4W he used in high school/college back in the 90s. He'd had it refinished raw, modern shaft and all and he absolutely smoked it.
And he's not the only guy I've seen still gaming a War Bird.
I had one back in the day and that sound really brought back memories.

Im not sure if this has been mentioned but I really enjoyed my Orlimar Driver back in the day.
Just purchased a 2016 M2 9.5* driver and everything I have read about it has been true. Solid driver!
The original Tommy Armour 845's,
The Ginty. My wife still has one in her bag. Used to be my favorite club back in the day.
Taylormade R9 Superdeep. If you needed to drop your spin numbers there was nothing better and there hasn't been since.
Lots to choose from and I build up bags of various OEM's of the stuff I've prefered over the past 15-20 years, and I just prefer older gear given it still performs and great value on the used market.

Wait a few years and the ping blueprints will be on this list.
Original ram tourgrind not fx or anything the original golden rams.
Learnt to play with them in my teens snd luckily got down to scratch and played in English amateur championship with them at 19. I practiced a lot
Still got them and 34 years later just started to whack balls again and those clubs are just magical great ball flight gorgeous feel when the sweet spot is had. Flight of long irons is just perfect and still to me the original golden ram irons are the prettiest irons I've ever seen just look right. I've tried loads of other makes not ever to change but just so I could compare nothing back then or now gets near them for me. Pure beauty and top notch qualify.
Love them as you can tell
Quality not qualify.sorry.
When I got the original golden ram tourgrinds 1980 ish they were actually quite rare everyone went for wilsons or hogans- not for me golden rams all the way.
Ping Eye 2 Beryllium Copper irons
my current 2016 M2 and the 910D3 I played for several years. Not sure if they are considered cult status but the Cobra S3 Pro irons.
EYE2 Pat. Pending irons have been my favorite followed closely by Anser X putters. I'm a bit partial to Warbird and original Steelhead fairway woods as well...

Would Adams MB2 irons qualify as cult classics?
Forgot to mention my Peter Broadbent woods he made for me early 80's. Haven't used anything else since then but then haven't played golf at all since 1991 just started again and of last year.
Eye 2 Pat Pending (+ no + ) models were my first ever set, I bought them used as an early teenager and still regret selling them to buy a putter.
Taylormade R9 TP B stamp irons, in my eyes best looking irons ever (from address)
Im always on the lookout for a really good barely used set

For me, eye2 continue to hold up against any other set with equivalent lofts and shafts...amazing
Still have a 2 iron😎
Holy asterisks! That was my first sand wedge. Great for gardening.
Looks like I'm set for fairways, if this thread is any indication - Warbirds (3+, 4, 7, 9, 11), Steelhead (3 & 7), v-steel (3 & 7). Now, if only I didn't suck...

Srixon 745 and 945

TS3 - yes it's newer but old school look/feel/sound but big boy performance
