Well theyre cast but have all the tech of the Gen2. I have Gen1s and the 0211s felt better.

I wonder what their designers would come up with if they could leave the screw thing behind. If Oct is still around in 2030 are they still going to put for screws in everything?

The screw weights used by PXG is a brilliant idea for several reasons that are touched on from an article about their use:

"Where PXG’s weighting system really shines, according to Brad Schweigert, is its unique ability to tune headweight. With most other adjustable mass systems, weight is moved in large chunks. By moving a large number of smaller weights, PXG’s system not only has the capabilities to spread mass over a larger area and improve inertia, the system’s real strength is that it offers the ability to easily adjust head and swing weight.

With PXG’s system you can easily add or remove weight from the head without the permanence of hot melt or rat glue. Not only are weight changes non-permanent, but the PXG system was designed such that swapping tungsten weights or titanium (or vice versa) results in a change of exactly 1 swing weight point."

This was largely written about the "woods" but is also pertinent to the irons where screw weights can be used for both swingweight changes, and changing the perimeter weighting of the head.

They need their head examined because you wouldn't buy them? Great diagnosis doc.

I have my opinion, you have yours. Spend all you want. It is clearly such a niche product anyhow. However PXG has collectively dragged the market pricing UP across the board that grinds my gears. TM releasing a $1700 set should alarm anyone.

I think you could also argue they dragged the quality up as well. People aren’t all of a sudden paying $1700 for a set that would’ve otherwise been $900 in the absence of PXG.

We don’t need a set of 7-8 putters to play a round. We also spend $7-$800 on a new driver with an up charge shaft, but again, just need one.

$650 for an iron that does nothing more than any other is ridiculous. If someone has the coin and wants em, cool, no way For me. All they have done is drag the price of equipment up

Sure you can and it's pretty easy. Marketing.

Their idiocy, PXG and the people willing to pay such inflated prices, is driving the market through the roof so it perfectly normal and expected for people to comment. Its their money but that doesn't mean they get a pass on negative comments.
