How do you like the Cobra so far?

Off topic - are you countertops butcher block? If so, how have they been to care for?

The cobra is hands down the best fairway I’ve ever used (for me) always felt I need to sweep with a fairway. With the cobra the rails just give me the confidence to hit 3 wood from lies I previously wouldn’t consider.

I even hit a few out of divots the other day on the practice ground and you can get so aggressive and hit down with it that it just pops out and flies.

Yes the worktops are butchers block, they haven’t been too bad however my Wife does regularly care for them with wax and polish.

Have to be so careful that you wipe down all surfaces after use otherwise watermarks etc will show and mark the finish.

Had to replace a section around the sink as I inadvertently got water up the splash back which sat on the block between the sink and wall, it caused the work top to swell and crack.

    Thank you sir!

Yes currently using the shotscope V2. I like collecting my stats to structure practice and coaching sessions.

Ok I was wondering. I have the game golf tags and I painted them black (plastidip) and was wondering if you did the same. I forgot shotscope v2 tags were already black.

Decided to add an Armlock to the bag, it's now replaced the Laguna, after much tweaking and trialing.

Decided to convert an old Studio Design 1 to an armlock myself, I tried several grips and just loved the AL2 so stuck with that over probably more sensible lower weight options.

    Specs are:
    Loft: 7
    Lie: 70
    Length: 42 inch
Head Weight: 420g (Head is 330g, 90g of Tungsten Powder added to shaft and corked)

As you can seen it's a bit of a beast next to a 35 inch putter with midsize matador.

Now the weather is getting better in the uk I decided to pick myself up a Flightscope, should massively help with the coming season. Can e-mail practice sessions to my coach to help structure sessions we have together and work on swing faults and just try to dial in numbers.

He uses a GCQ so I'll compare the two units side by side and see what sort of tolerances I'm working too. Hopefully they provide very similar data but it seems fairly accurate to me so far

Below is screen grab from 5 iron on the Skills App.

As I predominantly use an electric trolley these days I decided to get a more suitable bag. I’ll keep the stand bag for when I want to carry or hit the range.

Decided to pick up a few bits today, the rough is heavy and wet so decided to get a hybrid in the bag.

Love the cobra F8+ 3 wood so opted to go for the F8 hybrid.

The hybrid is going to rotate with the 2 iron dependent on playing conditions.

Also picked up a den caddy and shag bag to match the staff bag.

Bent 2 degree weak, it plays pretty much like the MB 4 iron but it’s 1 Degree stronger.

Originally it was just to see how I liked the Vega’s as I was considering a switch and never pulled it back out for the 4i.

Had a wedge fitting which resulted in me getting 3 new SM7 vokey wedges, my 46 degree SM6 also came out of retirement. It's been tweaked and gapping now is great. Played last night and the new wedges are amazing, the variation in bounce gives me a shot for almost every scenario and the 08 M Grind in the LW is brilliant. The bounce is not what i expected at all going in to the fitting, but we ran it blind so I didn't influence the choice. I can see a huge improvement coming in this area now, just need to get down to the range with the flight scope and get fully dialled in.

New putter picked up yesterday, I know it gets a lot of hate but It’s honestly the best feel I’ve had with a putter.

Lovely sound and feel, very stable and overall very happy. The wings have vanished at address and now I feel like I’m putting with a Newport but have the added forgiveness of a mallet I am really impressed.

I did buy a black Midsize matador grip to replace the pistol grip but I can’t bring myself to do it, it’s a great grip for feel which I don’t want to sacrifice.

Love that setup. To sure why the CX-02 get the hate, it looks great to me. That staff bag may be my next purchase, a stand bag doesn’t have enough room for all my stuff these days.

    Thanks Dude,

Spent 3 hours on the practice green yesterday, I just don't get bored of using it.

I've always used old studio design / pro platinums etc. so to have something a little more advanced I realise how the tech has made putting so much easier.

I think this can help massively on my pursuit to plus figures.

Never gave the head covers any love, got these from stray head covers on etsy, great quality and released in limited numbers.

The cobra F8+ 3 Wood and the F8 rescue are surprisingly some of my favourite clubs in the bag so they deserved a bit of Thanos action.
