Anti hook hybrid.

Probably but we all have a "miss" right? I miss left so I want a hybrid that minimizes that miss and also not all of us have time to practice as much as others. I would love to be able to hit the range 3 or 4 times a week and groove my swing but I'm just happy to play at least 9 holes twice a week.

Callaway apex has the highest toe and most open face of any I’ve seen since the original idea pro.

Titleist 818 H1 can be very fade biased if weight and lie angles are set correctly. This is one of the reasons I purchased the 3 and 4-hybrid version.

If you want a cheaper, older option... Callaway XR Pro. Most anti-left hybrid I've ever had, and I've tried a whole lot of them. Doesn't point left at address like a lot of hybrids either.

I feel extremely stupid. After I went from 22 down to 19 I have found the F7 to be a great hybrid, I never connected the dots for why I couldn't hit the higher loft without yelling fore left.

F7 lofted right is amazing.

Either find someone who is willing to bend your favorite hybrid to proper lie angle or find a hybrid which had adjustable hotel feature.

Hybrids had larger head hence the effect of a upright lie could be magnified ( aka hook machine ).

Your can proof that by observing how your hybrid is interact with the turf ( mat). I'd bet 9 out of 10 your hybrid contact heavy on the he'll side of the sole. As most of the hy bird have upright lie angle.

Lie angle affects direction far less on lower lofted clubs than it does higher lofted clubs. Lie angle may need adjusting but if you’re hitting 20+ yards off line it isn’t the lie angle.

Are you positively certain on that ? Not from what I had seen. Low lofted club can contribute to clice , not hook. Heel pad caught on contact first will shut the club face in a hurry. Don;t try to confuse people here.

Flatten it to not hook it? Hmmmm. That works yes but are you really getting square contact that way? Isn’t the idea to have it sole out rather flush through impact? I don’t get the issue with hybrids and hooks. It’s not the heads it’s the shafts. Too light and too long for the swing you’re trying to make. Anyone fighting a hook with a hybrid, I would suggest a shorter shaft, possibly up to an inch and a heavier shaft. That way you can make a more iron type swing with the ball in the right position and have the lie angle proper rather than a bandaid.

Yea, but most hybrids are made for higher caps to avoid a slice. As such the lie angles are generally upright. If you're a guy like me who plays his irons nearly 3 flat, most hybrids will be way too upright and will promote draws/hooks

First hybrid (resue) I had was a TM RBZ, went great, just 40-50 yard hook every time, went back to a 5 wood and in the last year or so have tried again with a Callaway Big Bertha 17 degree, lofted down from 19, I think it's a 2016 model and more recently a Mizuno CLK 16 degree lofted down to 14, these 2 don't hook for me, apart from when you simply make a poor swing, they for the most part go straight or fade.

Agree with all the people that referenced the lie angle. Really pay attention to that and the flatter the better if you want to protect against the hook. I have Titleist 818 h1 and h2 and actually found the h1 is better against left miss, both set flat and lofted down(open face angle). OG Cally Apex was great as well, currently messing around around with 2019 apex hybrid and it seems extremely neutral or a slight fade bias. Obviously shaft choice matters as well, but so far I am liking new apex hybrid due to being able to hit high draw without fear of over cooking it.

At 3* flat, yes your options get pretty slim to have it sit right. Just referring to intentionally having it be TOO flat to reduce a hook. Sounds like an intentional mishit to me. You’re raising 3/4 of the sole
