My GF definitely thinks he's hot. She also thinks Jenna is hot. I don't hate either!!

If he thinks he is the alpha dog on and off the course he needs to get a knowledge from some real professional alphas by reading their ethos/creed - Navy SEALs. "A common man with uncommon desire to succeed.... In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and **silently guides my every deed**."

> > > > > I am honored to have frogmen whom are family and friends and anyone of them would give him a real life lesson about how a real alpha displays confidence and competes. IMO, he disrespects the professionals who built the legacy of these majors by being so arrogant and dismissing the field of professionals. Koepka is insignificant while life is just flicker. I hope he starts to win as a quiet professional and quit with the bull **** because at the end of the day he will get his teeth punched in.

I don't think he does professional golf any favors with his 'confidence'. He wants to strut around like an elite athlete he needs to act like one and find some humility and simply prove it on the course. Oh yeah, and his 'I don't practice for normal events' is trash as well.

> Also, consider my 'speech' was intended to get some opinions. He is a golf pro and will never risk his life so the comparison was intended to draw some responses. However, end of day I agree with the original post and believe the universe responded to his stupid comment yesterday. I am officially finished talking about the guy so take it as you will. God Bless America.

Brooks is a great American. It’s unacceptable that you would put his reputation in question with a felicitous comparison to members of a military unit.

May freedom ring and liberty abound.

It's very sad that 24 hour media and twitter has left what I suspect is a significant minority (if not a majority) of people unable to listen to or read a full interview, or understand the contextualization of words and sentences.

One can be honest and arrogant at the same time. And Koepka walks that line frequently.

And, for the record, “saying what you think” or “being honest” or “speaking your mind” is not a defense for being a tool. In fact, in many (most?) cases, it simply proves that you are.

“And I’ve got to live with that.”

That’s not arrogant. You’re trying to pin something on Koepka that’s unfair and inaccurate.

You should be less concerned about the splinter in Koepka’s eye and instead tend to the log in your own eye.

Did you bother to read any of my other posts in this thread or did you just knee jerk react to that last post, which was a general response and not even referring to this situation?

Let’s not pretend that Brooks doesn’t say some outlandish things.

“ I don’t practice except before majors “. “ I only play golf when you see me on tv” ... “ I’m hitting it better than anybody out here “ .... “ majors are easier to win “ .... just a sample of some of the things.

Otherwise we wouldn’t have a new Brooks thread every 5 minutes.

He wasn't wrong. His irons in Top Tracer were a stripe show. He just had the worst day of putting that he's probably ever had in a major.

That was blatantly untrue even at the time he said it, he was outside the top 20 in GIR, before Sunday

Still like him coming out and saying stuff like it though

Someone remind me, why do we care about how tall he is? Will he suddenly steal everyones girl if he turns out to be 6'+? If you look at a Ryder Cup team photo he is about 3" shorter than Mickelson and DJ who are both 6'3ish I thought

I have a real issue with this one. So if you are running a PGA Tour event, how excited will you be having BK show up knowing that he doesn't care enough to practice for your tournament?

BK should take the Del Griffith approach:

You wanna hurt me? Go right ahead if it makes you feel any better. I'm an easy target. Yeah, you're right. I talk too much. I also listen too much. I could be a cold-hearted cynic like you, but I don't like to hurt people's feelings. Well, you think what you want about me. I'm not changing. I like me. My girlfriend likes me. My fans like me. 'Cause I'm the real article. What you see is what you get.

I think Bruce falls victim of the "I wish athletes spoke their minds and didn't give the same mindless answer to all the questions." And he goes out and says what he is thinking and it is "wow, this guy is arrogant. Who does he think he is?" Which certainly leaves him open to being a target when something doesn't go his way.

I also think saying he doesn't practice for regular events, only majors, is somewhat a slap in the face to the fans that go to the tournaments he shows up to. I get it as at the end of careers, majors are what they are judged upon, but it leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

If a reasonable person put his statement into context that is correct. He was emphasizing his great ball striking and criticizing his poor putting.....Guess people hear what they want to hear....LOL!

I heard the comment live. So I knew the context. Nd that’s why I knew it was dead wrong. He didnt hit it the best. And yes. He putted pretty bad. Bad as in didn’t make anything.

He's just giving himself cover to the fact that he's only won two PGA Tour events and it's working. The media doesn't question his ineptitude in regular events. Nicklaus and Woods have put out the narrative that Majors is all that matters and BK is rolling with it...

Well, I think that Koepka is trying to create his own legend. He reminds me of Tiger of old when he had the intimidation factor...

Is Brooks the official greeter at the scoring tent. OK when you come in second by a stroke, but sure full of himself thinking he needed to congratulate Shane for smoking him by 9 shots. Put your Rolex on and go home. Of course he “hit it better” than anyone in the field, just didn’t sink any putts...like 9-10 maybe. Too funny that he was forced to play with JB. Wonder if JB realized he didn’t have it and said I’ll make Brooksies day a living hell...
