The 2 iron is perfect. To be honest, looks wise I would have chosen Titleist's TMBs over MP18 Fli Hi as it's more bladey. These have for sure knocked that option out of contention - looks like I found my next 2 iron :smiley:

Seen some pics of the MP20's in copper thinking they were bringing out a new finish and was very excited! then read thats just an undercoat for feel, very disappointing!

I disagree. I think the MMC as a full set makes so much more sense than the odd combo of 5-PW MB/3-4 HMB.

The “blade” part is just marketing jargon. I guess I agree that may be misleading.

 

However if you are familiar with Mizuno’s past and present offerings (as most people on this forum would be), it wasn’t hard to predict that they wouldn’t be anything close to a blade, much more like a hybrid or utility.

 

None of this is a knock. I myself plan to purchase a 3 iron at least.

I haven't. This is a thread in the tour/pre-release section that not everyone visits every day. I come to the site a lot and I dont. I would have asked the same question (anyone know if they are available lefty)...

 

Instead of answering like a jerk, why dont people just answer the question? It's a thread in the pre release section about an unreleased iron, maybe it's a fair assumption there aren't 5000 threads on it already even if it's the wrong assumption. It would take the exact same amount of time to just say "they are available lefty"...

Looks awesome to me for what it is. Everyone that's whining about how thick they are just buy the MP 20 MB. Why would they do two MB's alike? These are not supposed to be blade like and I think they are trying to compete with P790, PXG, Apex, T-MB lines.

As someone who plays an H4 - 4 combo, these are the crowning achievement in iron history as the best looking long irons ever to play to alongside blades. I hate the way the H4 looks, but I love hitting high bombs over shit with my long irons. I am never tempted by new irons, but I can see replacing my long irons with these.
