AVX sounds "different"

Does anyone else find this ball to sound odd?

It feels great, goes pretty straight and long, but I thought it had a weird sound.

Weird. How do you like them? I heard they're long. How are they around the green and off the putter?

I played about 180 rounds or so with AVX and never noticed any unusual about the sound. When I recently switched back to Pro V1x I kept occasionally mixing in my last couple sleeve of AVX balls until I used them up. Even on back-to-back hole I did not hear any difference.

I liked it OK (not $45 OK though) Made an eagle the round I played with it. Didn't chip or pitch much with it as I was hitting greens. Putting felt good, soft/ muted sound off my carbon BB1.

I just had an odd sound off the driver and irons compared to other balls I play ( FG Tour, TP5, BRXS).

Love it off driver and iron, a little lacking IMO compared to similar priced balls inside 100...

 

I never noticed a sound difference though.

I bought some to give an honest try while on vacation over the 4th. Comapred it to the TP5x / ProV1-1X and honestly I did not see anything different about it. Feels different is someon aspects and a bit less spin within 100 yards or so but not that much different. V1 spun the most for sure, but would I switch from the TP5x for it. No...! Good ball but I did not see any of these 1 club longer performance gains people rant about. Still have 3 sleeves left now too.

this is a great ball, but with the specs that the Pro v1 has now, lower spin in most aspects, its a ball I can use and I can find 5A mint balls for cheap, so not paying the huge freight for new pro v1's
