Do you collect items from courses you play?

ball marker souvenirs are just fine. always bring a few extras back for the guys in our group.

Good news, the PB stamped balls are Pro V1 at only 2.5 x fair market value. And you get a pretty nice metal bag tag for free, too. Save up. It’s worth it.

 

 

As for items, I get a logo ball at most courses. And I usually end up with a ball marker or hat, but really wouldn’t call them thing I collect. For the really high end places, I like to get a pin flag and a yardage book, I mark each shot in the book with a sharpie dot.

I try to buy either a hat/shirt/tour visor and a metal ball marker from every course I play. Sometimes if they have a nice looking head cover I'll pick one up.

I have started collecting poker chips/ball markers (went on my first golf trip this year!) I think it is relatively economical and I will eventually find a way to display them. When I eventually play dream courses of mine I will likely get a shirt or hat also, just because!

Never thought of saving a scorecard... the only one I have is from Augusta... (haven't played) but grabbed it in an antique shop in downtown Augusta along with a pencil and some of the member ball markers

I got my magnetic backing from Hobby Lobby... but it's also available on Amazon... it works great and doesn't take up too much time or break the bank....

It could be a Poker chip if the course has it, a ball marker, a polo, hat, head cover or something as simple as a pencil and scorecard. Did I miss anything?

I think you can say I am obsessed with golf course logos.

I personally like to collect tees from the courses I play and/or work at. As much as I like a logo ball or ball marker, a good looking (possibly logo’d) Tee is my go to. One favorites is from Myopia Hunt Club north of Boston. Hosted 4 US Opens prior to 1910, and has the best looking tees I’ve seen (wooden tees to boot).

The old school yeardage book from the proshop. Usually free of charge or a few bucks. easy to store and dispayed and not taking up a lot of room. Together with the score cards will give me enough memoty i'll need without costing a lot of extra.

Tends to be ball markers that I will get, most of them end up in my bag at some point and then moved on but I currently using one from Royal Dornoch which just looks amazing and I think that will have a hard time been shifted.

Memories are about the only thing I collect from any course. If it’s worth a second look, I’ll take some pictures, but most of the logo trinkets are well overpriced. If I need a hat or shirt (because I’m traveling and forgot to bring one) I’ll buy one, but those are more out of necessity than for collection. Otherwise it’s just more junk to clutter a drawer somewhere.

I always get a pencil, but usually something else as well, especially if it's a good course. Sometimes its an article of clothing, a headcover, a ball marker, etc, but always at least a pencil. And of course I keep my scorecard from the round as well.

I really like ball makers. Mind you I use them give them away and lose em but I really like em' still.

Cheap expensive, I like all kinds. Coins too. I don't keep them and display them I just use them. 


Golf memento wise what I wished I'd have done is kept a scorecard from every golf course I've played and been been at.

Example on 17 mile drive with the then GF Stoppped in at PB got a score card didn't keep it was definitely planning on going back then but haven't.

Wherever I played in the Bay area I don't recall so well. Where I've played in the Inland empire? down south don't recall.

Scorecards I could've put them in a binder.

Because what happens is... the courses change, some open, some close you play with different people. Keeping those in a couple of binders would've been a very nice keep sake.
