Love Twilight Golf

Local golf course is offering all the golf you can play after 4PM for $20 and cart!! I got in 18 last Friday and played the back twice as "couples night scramble" had the front nine tied up. I really like the course and am playing with my buddy there. Hope to hit it next Tuesday as well. No way can you beat this price. By the 15th hole I was shot from the heat, and here comes the doubles.

Me too. Pretty much learned the game by taking advantage of my home course's "$7 after 5" (late 80s). Played every day after my summer job was done, walked around the course as fast as I could to get 18 in, or just camped out on a hole and hit shots into the green.

Now, my local course has a $25 twilight fee after 4 on weekends, after 3 during the week. Its actually great to play after 4, a bit cooler and not as busy. I have played 18 a few times, mostly taking less than 3.5 hrs...

some of the best recent times i have shared with my wife. marriage isn’t easy but walking toward the club house playing golf as the sun goes down is a great thing for us lately. those rounds together have really helped us out in so many ways. the major being just talking in general as we walk the course about random things besides bills, money, or the lack of. helping us become friends again besides just parents to our 3 children. gd22em2at6eu.jpeg

Twilight is really the only time I play. Show up around 6 and can get 18 in if I want. Or just play about 12 or 13 holes with a lot of extra tee shots and chipping/putting around the greens.

I love twilight golf. Unfortunately, we don't have much of it here in Tucson, at least the public and resort courses.

They all want the carts in by 630. I don't know if walking is allowed out later on the muni's., and most of the resort courses near me aren't really walkable in the summer heat, if at all.

So, I get my twilight golf fix when visiting my dad. I take his cart and play 5-9 holes at his course when I'm there.

Twilight is almost all I play now.

A) Course is usually less busy = play more shots if you want or play faster

B) It costs much less and usually you can play almost the same amount of golf as a normal full price 18

C) In summer time, it's cooler out at night

D) It's the best time to practice as most of my twilight is played solo so I can try new shots or do "re-do's" and not affect pace of play or feel embarrassed. Scores can't count toward official index anyway, so who cares

Some of my buddies that were all into playing earlier in the year seem to have burned out on it some - so the last several weeks; it's been just me. Initially I was booking tee times in the morning as usual and grouped with strangers but the last few rounds, I booked for 3ish because of GolfNow deals.

And yeah, been loving it. Got a 4PM this Sunday at one of my favorites. Usually finish up there around 2ish and there's rarely too many groups going off so I imagine by 4, it'll be wide open.

Best time of day to play golf. We are lucky here in that during the summer months, you can be out playing until 10pm and there is nothing quite like it. The hustle and bustle of the day is behind you, the setting sun making the course look glorious and some peace and quiet...it’s what I will be doing tonight...I hope!

My home course offers specials like that and I do it quite a bit. In the fall I like taking my minimalist bag out with classic clubs and walking a few holes. Can not walk but a few holes because of ankle issues but enjoy the few I walk.

One of the perks of golfing in Scotland is that during the summer, you can easily be out there until well after 10pm. In fact, in our club championship over the first two days, the last group goes out at 6.30pm in a three ball. You just cannot beat golf at that time of day...if you still have some energy left I guess haha.
