Shape has kind of morphed into a hybrid of the T7 and S18, but still looks good. Hopefully they trend more towards the T7 in the lower lofts.

The shape of the flange near the topline looks a bit like the SM7 with more mass higher. I suspect that lower lofts (50-52) may also be similar with the SM7 with the mass being lower. I don't hate that.

Its missing the proper badge, it should have a little placard that goes over that "5808Y" spot, which is much cleaner.

I didn’t understand this thread. So the pictured wedge is a retail Mizuno that went through aftermarket chrome stripping?

 

Or is Mizuno coming out with raw wedges?

T20 will come raw at retail.

This has been my feeling for the past few years of Mizuno wedges: T5, T7, and now T20. They have this perfectly clean wedge with this ill-fitting stamp right on the back. I am a die hard Mizuno iron player but I have preferred the look and bounce options of Vokey for a while now when it comes to wedges. I keep waiting for Mizuno to make a wedge that I absolutely have to have, and they keep just missing, due to the dumb badging. Granted, they need a way to distinguish easily between lofts if you have 3-4 in the bag, but I think most Mizuno fans would prefer something more subtle.

I have never understood this. It really is soo minimal. Why does that little badge offend you so much?

I actually like that they don't put the badging on the sole, it's very clean. I never have had trouble locating the different wedges in my bag.

They use the little badge with loft and bounce because they offer so many different options the factory bends them and slaps the badge on with the appropriate order.

I agree with others that it kinda takes away from the clean look.

You're exactly correct..... Moving Mass up the blade is by design. I believe Fourteen was the 1st to do it and others followed.
