I couldn’t tell a difference in the two balls. Is SERM really a change? It felt and played exactly the same for me. And this deal has free shipping for orders over $49.

I had about 3 dozen of the old left over went I went all in on the 2019 version XV. For me they play differently. The old was a touch firmer with better durability. The 2019 seems to be slightly longer with better green side spin but the cover is more fragile.

I agree with awtry for the most part. It’s just personal preference to me to have the new version unless I know the older ball performs better, which in this case it doesn’t. Still a good deal, though.

2019 z star yellow has zero durability issues for me. I have the white version i will try tmrw, maybe yellow is more durable lol

2019 XV - I have seen the dreaded cover line but I have never seen that with all the prior XV generations. I think stocking up the 2018 XVs is a better option than the 2019s, imho.

2017 Z-Stars are very similar to the 2019 for me but they fly just a little bit lower off my long irons

I find the old ball to be superior. Durability on the new balls have taken a huge turn in the wrong direction. I used to be able to play 36 holes with the 2017 version and they wouldn’t scuff, the new ones I’m getting rid of after 9 most of the time. I also don’t notice a huge spin advantage...

completely agree. my favourite ball is the 2017 Z Star . Normally play the xv, and the current balls are terrible on the durability end... wonder why they would make a worse ball. 2017 z star as long as the current xv.

Didn’t matter to me. I can’t tell much difference aside from the 2019 cover being not as durable.
