Epoxy it back on. Obviously it’s all they did. In reality that sucks. It seems like too many of the M2 line broke or cracked. TaylorMade is pretty darn good with service most of the time.

I've had two separate 2016 M2 heads replaced for cracking. TM has been very easy to deal with. If you have a proof of purchase, contact TM directly, but if you don't just go through your preferred local TM dealer and they will ship you out a replacement (likely an M4 or possibly even an M6). Both times it has taken me less than ten minutes with my dealer to call it in and I was all set up. Good luck.

You'd likely have to have a receipt dated within 2 years of purchase to claim a warranty with Taylormade from personal experience.

If TM is refusing the claim, which is very likely.

Clean up the old epoxy and glue it back on. Make sure everything is a tight fit when you dry fit it.

If nothing else is compromised.

These new drivers won't last very long. Designed to be replaced 3-5 years. If you store the golf clubs in the trunk of your car during the Summer heat, the epoxy and plastic parts will break down much faster.

I did that once with a Founders Club driver ( I have since forgotten the name). It somehow got worse sounding and felt atrocious. I would not recommend.

Β

It's not uncommon for all OEMs to experience some kind of defect along the line.... Things happen and the M2 is an older generation at this point. With the kind of force generated on some of these heads that are multi-material it is not surprising that this could happen. MORE surprising TM would give you any grief about it.

Β

I see you are playing the G400.... Do a little research and see how the G400s had cracking issues at the hosel. I know because it happened to mine a while back... With everything getting thinner and lighter it is no surprise.

I 100% agree with you about the g400, as rare as the occurence is...

Β

But can we both agree Taylormade has had a chronic issue, through all models, though?

Β

IDK... I don't know if I'd say "chronic". Because of marketing, there are a lot of TM drivers out there on the course so we may see more issues just because of it. I was shocked to hear about how many others had issues with the G400s honestly. Faces, hosels... just failing. Callaway had face explosion issues.... I just never got the impression TM was worse in this category after doing a little more reading. I have more of a problem when the OEM tells you they won't help you, that's where I have an issue. IMO, they SHOULD offer to replace or repair otherwise they lose exposure of people playing it out on the course, but none of these issues surprise me or seem more prevalent with one brand over another. It does seem more common with the more modern clubs though. People out there still playing the 905r having zero issues. LOL

This is why I'll never play TaylorMade. Stand by your product. Things happen, understand that. But make it right. I couldn't believe they wouldn't replace my 2016 M2 head that did this. Pretty ridiculous, who keeps receipts?

I had the original M1 430 replaced last year with an M3 440 without any receipt. Just went to a local retailer and asked them to warranty claim it for me. Maybe if it comes from a retailer, it is less of an issue to have proof of purchase.

If it was a clean break then I would just clean it up and epoxy it back on to be honest. Also take the opportunity and draw some tits inside the head with a silver sharpie or something, hah!

As in the crown came off?!

I don't care what other manufacturers are having issues with - the defects coming out of Taylormade are become egregious.

Β

It wasn’t the crown, but one of the carbon pieces on the sole flew off.

Haha you're a peach. My point was all drivers have the ability to crack or have defects. Callaway, ping, cobra, taylormade, etc.

You're correct; all drivers have the ability to crack. Who's cracking the most though? Compounded with garbage customer service?

Taylormade.

Because you keep wanting to get the last word in. Good for you that you ride TM's jock. And while I'm glad you've gotten good customer service from them, the MAJORITY of people seeking warranty claims are denied.
