Somehow Footjoy manages to make their shoes worse and worse every single year. It's quite a feat actually.

Looks good, IMO... and credit to FootJoy for not scrimping on the spikes, too.

I see other brands offering models with 3-4 spikes per shoe. Super bad, really. Should not do this, other brands.

The only thing that I wouldn’t be so keen on, is some of the branding. Does there need to be PowerStrap written on there?

definitely like the white more than the black.

 

i don't know how FJ can put out incredibly high quality shoes like the icon and FJ tour -- yet for some reason on the 'sporty' versions of their shoes they tend to come across cheap with regards to finish and materials. the 'tour x' notation on the heel just looks cheap to me.

Titleist seemed to go through a phase of doing that as well. The drivers were stamped with Radial Speed Face, SureFitCG, etc it was almost as if they had to have it written down that something was a piece of tech so that you would notice. Feels like the same with these shoes.

These would be so much better if you couldn't see the spikes sticking out when looking down at them while you are wearing them. The biggest turn off for me for Footjoy spiked shoes. The spikes are just way too aggressive and big.

Kinda looks like a crossover between the DNA and Helix on the upper, and the cleat portion looks similar to a hyper flex in the fact that it is built up a little higher. Overall looks solid. Interested to hear some on foot feedback.

They look like they’re preparing for a trip to the moon. That being said, I’d like to give them a try on. They look pretty comfortable.

Those laces gotta go though. Those little spaghetti string laces are dog crap. They need to take a lesson from ECCO and use some premium strappage.

I know it's weird, but it bothers me that the spikes on the white are two different colors. And, are the spikes a different style between the two colors? Even a different brand, possibly (Champ on black vs. Stinger on white)?

Not a bad looking shoe, just not going to replace my Adidas Tour 360.

FUBAR. I tried the SL Pro from last year...they look okay, but my feet hurt after walking 18 in them. After walking 18 in my Adidas boost 360, my feet feel great. FJ just don't fit my feet unfortunately. I looked at the updated SL Pro...but the ONLY changes are the "colorway" and design on the outside of the shoe. C'mon FJ...don't get lazy !
