Tiger Woods was suspended?

Let me preface this by saying I don't necessarily believe this but was curious if anyone had heard something similar to this.

I think it's pretty well known that the PGA Tour protects their players as much as possible by not releasing information about suspensions and what not. However, I was talking to a friend recently and he had said he had heard/read rumors somewhere that the reason Tiger was on such a long layoff on the PGA Tour after the US Open was because he was actually suspended for PED's or something. The reason he was able to play in The Open at Port Rush was because it's not a PGA Tour event and run by the R&A. So my curiosity got the best of me and looking at the PGA schedule it means he wouldn't have played a PGA Tour event in like 9 or 10 weeks once he tees it up at the Northern Trust (which he just recently committed to).

Again I'm not saying I believe this but was wondering if anyone else has heard anything like this?

In todays day and age - no way that is kept a hush. Someone would have blabbed it all over social media. 15 minutes of fame is the new norm, positive or negative.

If he was going to be suspended for PEDs. It would have happened 10 years ago. I am not saying there is no chance this is true, as I believe that he did use them at one time (maybe still does). I just don't believe that this is the reason now. You can tell he is physically broken. After playing so well for a few weeks, he has been a shell since he has been playing in colder weather including the PGA, the US Open, and at Portrush. All venues played is colder weather.
