Golf careers

Like most of you I'm obsessed with golf. Not only playing golf but the gear and equipment. What are some of the better brands to work for? ( I live in Ohio) I am currently a brand rep for an automotive service company. I've been in sales my whole adult life but would love to maybe be a brand rep. I noticed a few big brands require a 4 year degree, I took some college courses but then ended up choosing the ARMY path out of high school. Golf is my passion and I wish I wouldn't have waited until age 36 to realize that's the path I need to take. Thanks in advance.

I can't say for golf industry, but I've seen and worked with non degree engineers who started as a lab tech or in an upholstery shop. Usually, the requirement was show knowledge and 10+ years experience, with the caveat of having to start as a level one. This might be the same in other fields such as brand rep / sales.

before you could start working for the better golf brands you would need to build your resume with sales and accounts. The best way to do it would be to start relationships within your territory through selling smaller golf brands first . You should check AGM Golf website for reps jobs and start opening accounts and selling any golf products:

Once you created relationships and trust with buyers in your area, you will get recommended for job offers from the top brands. It might take months of hard work and lot of travel but you will build your reputation, no need for degrees. Good luck.

I have heard that Callaway is easy to work with. They can keep up with high capacity stuff and deal with clients well. Overall satisfaction is high with them.

Everything about that sounds amazing unfortunately i couldn't pull that off right now. Im sure the golf weather is a little better than it is here in Ohio :D
