D-SLAB - don't swing like a *****. I am the king of the golf simulator when you can take a nice rip knowing the ball will end up back at your feet no matter what. It is amazing the impact that lack of tension or doubt produces on ball flight indoors. My results are great when I can summon that same trust and confidence on the course instead of the tentative bail out with all of the elements and trouble out in front of you.

For me, the past doesn't matter, the future doesn't matter, only THIS shot. If I'm lying 2, or lying 10, the only thing that matters is to get from here to the hole in the fewest shots. Make the best decision to do that, and execute THIS shot.

Differently from you, feelings don't matter either. If I'm mad at a previous shot, or if I'm elated after making three birdies, get back to neutral, hit THIS shot as normally as solidly as I can.

This is just so damn good. Easier said then done but when I can get myself in this place dare I say golf is pretty easy.

Need to remember that one too, I normally do use it but I sometimes forget. But we can't control the past we can't control the future, only the current shot. It's a great one.

When it's time to hit the shot, zone out or separate yourself or whatever you want to call it. Be in your own world and nothing else matters but the shot on hand. I tried doing this in the last 5 games and it works for me. I have shot 5 strokes lower than my handicap.

One funny thing though is I zoned out so much that I was ready to hit my putt, my buddies were laughing at the back. When I asked them what's wrong, they pointed at our other guy's golf ball and he was farther from the hole. LOL I focused so much that I forgot it's not yet my turn.

I still go back to my shots or think about the next holes to play, when I am walking in between shots. I just can't help my head but to think about them. But when it comes to hitting the shot, I block everything out.

Another one I keep on telling myself before and on the swing is tempo and count 12 and 3 to be able to get a smooth and relaxed swing. This keeps me from getting too quick, especially with the driver.
