Unfortunately I have yet to receive said wedge. Apparently Titliest had issues with the production (aka getting my grip specs). I ordered it on 06/17 and it still hasnt arrived. I'm stoked to give it a whirl though

Got the wedge today @TIM929 and they sent me a 58* instead of the 56* bent to 55.....looks like another month on the waiting list....

Well....

Went into my local shop here in SoCal and was looking to replace a sand wedge and walked out with a fitting for a new iron set and new wedges. Custom ordered them on the spot they were so good.

 

The set up was:

- PING i210 4-UW w/ Project X LZ 120 6.0 (.5* upright)

- SM7 56.F14 w/ Project X LZ 120 6.0

- TaylorMade Hi-Toe 60*/ATV KBS Hi-Rev 115

 

The set up is now:

 

- Apex '19 5-PW w/ Modus 105 Stiff (+1/2" length/2* upright)

- Vokey SM7 50.F12 Jet Black w/ DG S200 shafts (+1/2" length/2* upright)

- Vokey SM7 54.S10 Jet Black w/ DG S200 shafts (+1/2" length/2* upright)

- TaylorMade Hi-Toe 58* ATV Grind w/ KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 115 (+1/2" length/2* upright)

 

Will post pics when they get delivered next week or the following.

Well the Pro Blue made it to my house unfortunately just in time for me to leave out of town for that weekend. But I got her tipped and gripped so when I get back I can test it out against the PW 70 in my 3W

That’s a sick grip and shaft bro! I have the same grip but the older ugly colorful version.

 

Of course the package gets there just in time for you to look at it before you leave on a trip.. wouldn’t happen any other way lol. It’s going to be awesome when you get back.

That Apex looks pretty awesome!

Just looks wise, I feel the new black vokey pairs really well with the apex. Plus your TS2's/ spider/ black hoofer.. bet your bag looks freaken good all together!

It does look pretty good...now whether I can back that up with good play is a WHOLLLE seperate issue.

Tested the Pro Blue 70 Stiff at the range in my TS2 15* yesterday and really nice ball flight with still a good amount of roll out. Will be playing this sunday to see how it stacks up with real golf balls and under pressure. So far it is promising, the only dilemma is that the PW 70S that I have had in it was no slouch in its own rights. We'll see if it dethrones the PW

 

Also took out the new wedges and irons out for a spin and the Apex irons just want to go straight no matter where they are hit on the clubface. So much more forgiving and feel better IMO than the PING i210's I had previously. Now just need to get the added distance down.

Man after shooting a 73 I'm not changing anything haha. The PB is staying in the bag for the foreseeable future. Hit it pretty well with the TS2. I can definitely tell a higher ball flight but no ballooning issues, etc. Really good shaft that feels effortless to swing for a fairway wood.

Practice is what I think helped. Didn't look at my scorecard the whole round and told my playing partner to not tell me my score until after the round because I thought I was shooting good. Maybe thats the key??? haha. I can now justify to the wife all my golf purchases so far this year.

Well the Pro Blue experiment didn’t last long and Im going to have to eat some crow. Said I wouldn’t change the bag. Struggled with the Pro Blue in my 3W all week at the range and took it to the course today and could not get it down. Going to put the Pro White back in the 3W for next weeks play

Going through a bit of a bag carousel but found out that my local shop price matches TGW.com that was having a 20% off sale so ended up with this TM FlexTech Crossover for $183.99 before tax. Its a hybrid stand bag/cart bag since I ride 99% of the time and has plenty of storage and no club tangle. The PING Hoofer was a cool looking bag but the strap broke after three rounds the the zippers were vary cheaply made.
