One Cr4ppy Shot Each Hole

Not due to having 1 beer per hole...and, I actually drink very little. But, in looking back at my game this past year I have seen a pattern that is key to my lack of progress. I am striking the ball much better the past several months thanks to a couple very good lessons. My putting seems to come and go in cycles. But, it's this special ability I have to (as an example) hit 4 very good shots on a par for and one chunk, skull or shank mixed in there somewhere. It's bizarre. Is this a common type of issue? I don't notice it much with guys I play with. Many of them will hit 4 good shots, maybe 3 putt. I'll crush a drive by everybody, take a dollop on a chip, and bogey the hole with a couple good putts - on a majority of holes. I do it most holes and am finding it perplexing because the 1 bad shot is so different than the other good ones. Any input? Switch to bourbon? Maybe I should be more diligent with my pre-shot routine...

Loosing focus, being too happy with previous shots and lose focus. Writing birdie on the card before it happens and lose focus usually what happens to me occasionally.

Hmm sounds like timing.. make sure you don't have a reverse pivot/spine angle on your backswing

I’m facing the same problem. My bad shot is very random. Yesterday on a par 5, I hit a beautiful drive to a great position, hit my long iron to about 40 yards, then chunked it with my LW. My LW is usually a solid shot. Next I’m on the green within 12 feet and two putt for a bogey. My misses can be with any club and it gets frustrating. I know it’s probably a loss of focus but still annoying knowing that I could be birdieing or at least getting a look at birdie more often without that one bad shot.
