Not sure of the value of that particular ball. However, several years ago when I checked eBay the collectors were paying crazy money for those double colored PING balls...I mean CRAZY money!

Yea, they are collectors items now. Crazy. I use to collect them as a kid. I had a big bag full of what are considered rare ones today. My dad ended up taking them and giving them away without my knowing....

I had the same thing happen with a bunch of baseball cards that I collected when I was kid in the late 60s and early 70s...a lot of classic HOF'ers!

The Tour Balatas have not been made since 2000. They were a wound ball and the predecessor to the Pro V1. Great golf ball. Don't let the persimmon and hickory guys see those. They pay top dollar for new ones. They are the preferred ball for old school equipment players.

Playing them with my retro Ping Zing 2’s would be awesome. For about 6 holes and the entire sleeve would be all cut up. :)

oh wow, there was wooden hogan 5 wood with speed slot technology(piece of the wood was cut out near the toe). Maybe I should’ve pick it up as well.

you could resell these? the color is changing but you can tell its never been hit.. I originally purchased to test thinking these were worth nothing..

 

edit: checked ebay and its going for 10 to 20 a sleeve.. maybe its worth keeping but most likely will test. I wanted to compare to Pro v’s

Other than the Ping Eye 2 woods I picked up, my thrift store has been horrible. I think they've done away with their sporting goods department. The Play it Again store knows their old golf clubs. No junk there. Pine Eye 2, Hogans, MacGregors, Mizunos... Kind of obvious to me that he must have gotten them cheap from somewhere. It's not people walking in the door are trading in only the most desired old clubs.

I'm with you. I've only bought three new clubs in my life, and those were on a deep discount. Everything else has been garage sale, used rack, Goodwill, Craigslist, ebay, etc... For success at Goodwill shopping there has to become a bit of a hobby. I hit up most of the stores here in town a couple of times a week and find something worth buying only two or three times a month.

Two days in a row! I've gone weeks without finding anything close to this. Today I found a Set of Callaway Great Big Bertha irons 2- Lob Wedge, a TM Firesole 5 & 7 wood, PowerBilt TPS irons 3-P and Adams Tight Lies irons 3-P.
