GTA courses

Heading out there in a few weeks before heading up north, and was going to try to get out to play a nice course. I was thinking Glen Abbey, Mississauga Golf & CC, or Osprey. Which would you choose assuming I can get on Mississauga? Or would you throw in something else? My cousin works with ClubLink a lot so she can likely get me in on one of their other courses too.

We're heading up to Orilia. We'll be with family so disappearing to Muskoka for the entire day probably isn't the best idea since it's about an hour away, but maybe. What courses would you recommend up there?

> For GTA go to Osprey. Play one or 2 of the 3 tracks. If it’s a weekday you’ll have the place to yourself most likely.

This is the default answer if you can swing it for more than 1 round. If you have a hook up with CL, then cheaper golf at nice courses is always a plus, but may be pretty busy. Milton has GC and GS almsot beside eachother (GC has 27 holes). Mississaugua is private as mentioned and worth getting on if you can do it, solid track. Forget Abbey, it's monumentally over rated (save for like 3-4 holes) and can get pretty slow. Another 2 if heading up Osprey way to try and get on if you have connections would be Devil's Pulit or Paintbrush (private).

Still waiting to hear if I can get on at Mississauga. I just found out my cousin works there too, so keeping my fingers crossed. If not, I'll head up to Osprey, but will be with a family member that will likely only want to play 18. If that is the case, which of the three courses would you recommend? He's not a good golfer, so nothing terribly difficult where he won't have a good time.

Thanks for everyone's input!

I played the Heathlands course at Osprey valley a few days ago. It was well worth the drive from Toronto. I played 18 in 2.5 hours. The fairways were firm. The greens had a lot of internal movement but were not very fast. It was quite windy. A very fun round

Ended up playing Osprey - Hoot course. Really enjoyed my time out there. Pace of play was amazing, course was beautiful and in good shape, and had a fun layout. I will definitely be heading back out there again to play the other courses next time I'm in town. Thanks for the recommendations.

What club link courses would you recommend? Headed to the area and currently have Heron Point and Glen Abbey tee times. Might switch out if you have some better recommendations.

I like Herron, played Greystone for the first time in years the other day. It might be the best CL course.

Wyndance is northeast of the GTA, and is a very good track. King Valley is north of the city and is a good layout also._
