Marshmallow Matte Ball

Went from Wilson 50 Elite and Zip (both marshmallows) which I loved to TF D2 Feel (also marshmallow love) to the TF Gamer. I purchased the Gamers last year because they were BOGO plus points and stuff... needless to say 6 dozen for $25ish dollars. While they are great and I really do like playing them (first hole in one with the Gamer) I have been drawn to the matte finish. I have played the Vivid before, nice ball but clicky. I was wondering if anyone can compare the marshmallow effect of Wilson 50 to the new matte Maxfli Softfli?

I usually carry some of the Softfli's since they go a mile for me but they are lacking around the green. I have not played the Wilson 50 but the Softfli is softer than the old TF Gamer. Too bad they discontinued most of the Gamer line, the Gamer Soft was a great ball. If you do try the Softfli's I suggest avoiding the white matte finish which is a dirt magnet. I have switched to the DT Trusoft as my primary ball since it has the feel I like and is very good on approach shots for a surlyn ball.

So I think next time I get to the course (this afternoon pending the storm system coming through NEPA) i'm going to hit up the recycled bin and try to find as many matte options as I can that I haven't played with yet and take them to the putting green. If the ball is muted coming off of the putter face then I like it. I like the muted thud rather than the Titleist click. Just my "feel" preference...

Lots of matte options, I like the Superhot bold. As erock said in the past, there's are plastic feel ones and rubbery. I like the rubber kind. But, I will still take the classic sparkly ball, like a Q Star Tour in yellow over matte.

Matte and squishy.....The Taylormade Project (s) is a clear winner in this category.......

Bought a dozen by accident when I was restocking my supply of Project (a).......

Brilliant yellow color ......60 compression ,3 piece distance ball, with some green

holding spin....I'll be saving these for the cold winter months....

OP, not sure if you’re up for trying a ball that you’d have to order, but I think you’d love the Vice Pro Soft VERY much. You’re welcome! LOL
