Finally tried the Right Angle that I bought awhile ago. WOW what a difference it makes in keeping my arms in front of me (3/4 backswing) while my core- shoulders turn a full 90*. I set it on 1/2. Takes some time to get synched up if you have been overswinging (run off) for 30+ years like me, but it makes is SO EASY to get the correct path to the ball and solid contact. I try to keep the hands no higher than my shoulder at top of swing, even shorter - left arm parallel to ground, and just turn through impact from there. WOW.

wow does he ever keep his spine angle, from address to arms parallel to ground after impact, amazing. But did it put strain on his back, I wonder.

Tiger also doesn't load up his right side as much either, he stays a lot more centered to the ball now; he used to get more behind the ball on the backswing with more width.

yea, I haven't even heard that taught much atleast in recent decade to get hands more out and wide. Seems all the pro's who do that somewhat are trying to get them more in, like Rory and Adam Scott.

Thanks for bumping this thread. Agreed this is a gem of a thread. I as well ordered the RA2 a couple of months ago and it has made a positive impact in my swing. For me I just take about 25 slow swings with it and also hit some balls with it . Just helps ingrain the feel of width, and it has in effect helped me get on a better plane as well. Thanks 97speeder. Very generous of you to start this thread and share the wealth of knowledge.

@97speedster

Wanted to ask a question and get your take (or anyone elses). With your backswing pictured below, do you have any issues with the hands being deep on the take away, then working up like they do? Compared to the pics of early tiger take away where his hands work more out or even inline with the shoulders. Ive noticed with myself, that when my hands work too deep on the backswing, I have a tendency to get across the line at the top with my arm being pinned against my shoulder and to low, then all kinds of bad things can happen. Would like to hear yours or iteach take on this, maybe if you have deep hands on the back swing, is there certain things you have to make sure you do?

That was something I was working on then, but I never incorporated it.... I went back to width with less wrist hinge right after this was taken.
