NEW Fujikura Speeder Evolution VI shaft

Ok Fujikura, guess the cat's out of the bag. Where's the info on this shaft Shibuno won the British Open with?

 

Was looking into getting a Evo IV for my son but waiting to see what the Evo VI is all about.

It is a tech upgrade to the Evo IV which is an incredible and under the radar shaft. I would expect Mid Flight/Low Spin and incredible feel.

I've played the IV since early summer, mine is tipped 1/2" and I would not call it soft. I would say for my swing it is a perfectly built shaft.....All the big tech and MR70 (Fuji has used MR70 for 2 years now). Feeling wise you have to swing it hard to get that Speeder Whip crack effect, but the ballflight is very good & accurate. The VI looks to add some carbon weave to parts of the shaft.......almost looks Rombaxish.

I was referring to the new Evo VI being a softer version of the TR.

I posted the link to the actual shaft on the Japanese Fujikura site. Just about Everything is there.......Ball Flight wise since it is a refresh of the IV expect True Mid Launch and Low Spin along with the a tighter speeder whip crack when swung hard.

It is not, it's based on the IV which is lower launching than the OG. I do love the OG 757 in a fairway.

I Believe the V is closest to the OG

The V was too high spinning for me and launched higher. Still haven't been able to find a newer Fuji shaft similar to the 757 Evo 1 that I have. Haven't been able to try out the Ventus but that looks spec wise like it could work out well for me.

I liked the Evo iv, xstiff got a tad too much spin so looking forward to the results from the vi.

How that these are officially released, any reviews out there? I’ve always been a fan of the speeder evolution feel. I just don’t know if there is a shaft out there that could kick my Diamana BF out of the bag.

The IV is closer to the 2 than the VI.

 

The VI is supposed to launch a little bit higher than the IV.

EVO 2, 4, and 6 will be similar launch + spin because they designed these profiles off one another. We've found EVO 2 to have a similar launch as 6 but with slightly lower spin. Test results show spin on EVO 2 about 150-200rpm's lower than 6.

So then the EVO 4 is in between the 2 and 6? Would it be possible to build up one of these .335 tips to go in a Callaway Super Hybrid which is a .370 tip? The reason being is I love the EVO shafts and imagine they'd be much more lively in the Super Hybrid which is more like a fairway wood to me than a true hybrid.

Just ordered an Evo VI. Didnt like the feel of my Evo IV and I agree with HG22, my Evo V spun too much.

Hopefully the VI will do the trick in my F9. Keep you posted!

Hello tried my F9 with the Evo VI. All I can say is perfection! Spin and flight down from the V; but the feel of the V and I would call the flight and spin closer to the IV. Fujikura nailed it!
