Yikes, the #2 tour in the world according to the Euros shutting down for 2 prime weeks in the summer. Did they run out of cash? Why isn't this a bigger story?

why is it a big deal? ... could be for a lot of reasons ... to give everyone a break ... to protect ryder cup competition some way ... because europe gives everyone a month of vacation ... they still have a lot of meat left on the schedule ... a 2-week break isn't that big of a deal, imo, esp with the american tour having its playoffs ...

That must be it, to give everyone a rest during 'oleedye time. It's NOT about the tour's cash position. Nope.

Actually long and accurate do well here. Bomb and gouge doesn't work here. High, thick rough, mounding and tight holes don't lend to wildness of any length.

Looks like it already happened. TW cut back practice today as he was "too stiff".

Hopes he will loose up for thurs. Unfortunately, he has a 7:43a tee off 10th w/ JT Poston. Will see how Tw plays when reachs 12th.

10th is v hard starting hole esp. if wind is blowing. OB right for course boundary entire length. Wide creek crosses fairway short of driver. A lake on left short to 3/4 of hole makes for a tight fairway.

2nd shot is uphill to a diagonal lumpy green guarded by multiple bunkers short, left, right and back left. Hole gives up few birdies and par is a good score. Have seen way too many snowmen & higher scores.

Previous two winners at Liberty National were Heath Slocum (2009) and Adam Scott (2013). Tiger finished runner up in both events. That won't happen this week.

Actually he did a composite and skipped around.

Will find out how much time tommorrow TW spent in the gym and PT trailers in the pit getting stretched out.

They always work long hrs getting the players ready @start of week and everyday.

Scenery maybe nice but players hate the setup.

Top pic is the long 563yd par5 w/ narrow neck next to lake.

Middle is the 14th green w/ main view of lady liberty.

Bottom pic is 18th. Almost all hated the original setup, landing zone, lumpy shot setup and fairway narrowness.

After 2009 and 2013 most of 18th has been widened by 40% and flattened dramatically. However, a narrow part of green was extended right into the bay. Many players still give pc answers on course review and opinions.

Bedminster? Hasn't happened yet and won't until 2022 PGA.

All players play differently on any tournament sun back 9. Tension and stress increase but more in major and for the playoffs. Shots they do easily don't happen during the tournament, less so on Sunday and sunday back 9.

Good luck getting on there unless your coming in via Port Liberte' entrance.

Don't you want to see our favorite GolfWRXer photog? Yes he's here saw him on Monday if you didn't see his pics yet.

Fyi, weather is only low 80s for rest of the week and w/e. Fwiw, will be on 12th th-sun until switching to other committee for post end and monday.

Especially since both times TW had a short putt to tie and make a playoffs. He missed 1st 2009 left by at least a ball and left 2nd 2013 short on 18th green.

Tiger hit the fairway with his opening tee ball. Currently no fans as the gates are shut till 10 local time due to recent rain.

It’s looking more and more like Tiger did some kind of deal with the devil to win the one last Major and the flip side of the deal was that things were going to go back downhill (rapidly) again.

Playing like this it looks like he'll have another weekend off. Can't be much fun for Tiger himself.

Yeah over the last few tournaments with Tiger in it has made me realize that there is golf after Tiger. Never thought i'd admit it after watching him for 20 years but he's not that fun to watch any more - he could just walk away from it all and I wouldn't even be mad because it's seems while he may still have the odd win (Masters was a huge exception on "the odd") it's clear he isn't beating Jack's record or getting better by playing so little in a season.

Rust is a b*tch and the new (older) Tiger doesn't play well unless he's well oiled and full of confidence and today shows he's got neither of those going for him.
