What's your go-to Ball Marker?

Recommended Posts

I've been using a US half-dollar. It's large, fairly flat, easy to find in pocket. My other is a South Korean ₩100 coin. But I don't use it often as it's the exact same size as a Canadian/US quarter.

I use a Byron Morgan ball marker (since I am gaming a Byron Morgan putter). The pictures shown are the same marker I have but the pictures is someone using the same marker.

I'm another one who uses markers from Seamus Golf. I have a copper marker with "Be the Ball", and a brass one that doubles as a bottle opener. Those are both pretty big, so I always carry a smaller marker from one of the Scottish or Irish courses that I've played over the years.

One can spend a few dollars to buy a ball marker or one can spend about the same to get a 90% sterling U.S. 50 Cents coin. Just about the size which no one could say "oh , I did not see it ". and easier to pick up than the quarter coin.

One additional add on, it'll retain it's value. I've got a few of those in the golf bag. Not mint, uncirculated collectible coins, it'll be a shamed to put those to daily use.

Got one of these with a Dormie Driver headcover. Something different. A bit smaller than a poker chip

I use this one that I made, getting a nice patina on it now. Actually dropped it out of my pocket a month ago on a tee box, and went back and found it, really didn't want to lose it. Other side says " world of the unlikely and bizarre" there Rush lyrics.

I do the same. I have coins from 4 continents now, and it’s nice to share them with people who don’t have a marker handy. They appreciate it, and it can be a good ice breaker to start conversation when playing with someone you’ve just met.

Those look awesome Smitty. I remember seeing a post when you made some and were selling them but I missed out. Have you thought about making more sometime?

I've got an assortment of coins from all over the world (from my uncle's collection when he passed, and my dad's collection from when he was in the navy), random quarters and nickels, poker chips, and giant commemorative coins from work all in one of my bag pockets. There's probably 40 coins in there. I reach in, and which ever one comes out is what I use. I'll give the quick cursory feel for my poker chip, but if I don't get it within a second or 2, no telling what is coming out.

I buy a ball mark at every course I go to. Plus I have had a couple made, and bought some limited release markers from bettinardi, and other companies. I really like these. The Golden Knight was made by Caleb more commonly known as @cvhookem63

That marker is awesome. One of the best logos in sports IMO as well.

Buddy owns a couple of record stores. I have a bag of these. If someone really likes it, I'll give them one.

Funny, many have no idea what it is. I've had guesses of something from Star Trek to "do you still have the gun that shoots those?".

I would love to get one in a raw steel so I could rust it up. I like this one the most of all that I have currently.
