The US Am is always great. It's a major in my mind.

I'm actually finding St Jude more interesting than British open. Most important thing is intrigue at top of leaderboard....British turned into a snoozer over the weekend. Ideally you'd have a tightly packed leaderboard at top of a major, but when it's not that id settle for non-major with tight leaderboard than major with runaway leader.

You are missing a fun tournament. Rory and Koepka will be going at it, with Rahm, JT, and Fleetwood in the mix. You really won’t find this interesting?

It's on CBS. Just dust off the rabbit ears or buy a cheap antenna. You can also stream it through CBS sports.com and the CBSSports app without cable provider credentials.

Well, there goes that theory. I guess you don't have Koepka figured out after all. ;)

I do enjoy watching tournament like the Safeway Open in the fall and the "Asia Swing". I know Justin Thomas won the CIMB a few years ago before being player of the year the next year. In addition to that, the Safeway Open has had some great finishes the last couple Years with Phil Mickelson being in contention the last couple years. It's always fun to watch new guys trying to win on tour.

Yep unfortunately taking DJ over Koepka killed my best draft kings lineups this week too. ?

the broadcast itself matters to me- when there are no fans cheering at the event it makes watching on TV less fun. Some of the off-label European tour events may have some great players in them but when it's just crickets and the occasional comment from an announcer the flow suffers and it's hard to really engage with, IMO

I have been watching golf since the late 50s starting with All Star golf hosted by Jimmy Demaret in black and white...Shell's Wonderful World of Golf hosted by Gene Sarazen...and all the old events like Tournament of Champions when they were giving the prize in silver dollars plus the Majors...and lots more all about a week or two or more after they were played..those were the good old days when I couldn't wait for the golf on TV to be on..the times the you could regularly watch Hogan, Snead, Nelson, Littler, Boros, Middlecoff,Lema, etc, etc...

I guess we're spoiled now but I miss those days..

Does anybody else think the playoffs are a bad idea? Why are they trying to make golf like other American sports? Personally liked the schedule around 2000. The PGA in May is a terrible idea. Its the worst major anyway and now its even worse. The season is over in July to all intents and purposes. Way too early. The Fed Ex Cup is boring. As a viewer I couldn't care less if they were playing for 200 million dollars or a billion. I dont tune in to see how much they win. I watch golf because I want to see who goes down in history by winning majors.

anyone else find the Hawaii tournaments boring? I usually don't bother watching until the West Coast starts.

I also think golf was in a better place in the late 90's compared to now with regards the schedule and flow to the year and for tv viewers. Last year was a disaster. All golf over by mid July. I switched off after that.

It was a very boring event except the last 5 holes and the playoff. And I watch more golf than anyone I know. As in I enjoy watching golf

but JT and Xander do nothing for me and I like both their swings .

the Sony is working up to be the same. Loads of new vanilla players . Each one more boring than the next

I didn't watch it. Once Tiger doesn't play I lose a lot of interest but also depends on the course too. Kapalua is a big empty windswept field built on a hill. As for the Fed ex Cup I don;t watch it. Mickey mouse tournament. I like the historical tournaments with prestige not these lets make multi-millionaires multi multi millionaires money bags events. I couldn't care less if Justin Thomas makes 13m for the Fed Ex Cup. In fact I think its disgusting tbh. Its just a big fake corporate orgy. Too much money has ruined the game. I like the majors and the west coast and florida events int he build up to the majors.

The West Coast Swing was wildly entertaining last year. I love me some primetime golf being in Ohio.

Long wins in his 6th start at the Desert Classic. Phil teases a victory.

Fowler shits down his leg and wins a wet Phoenix Open. Who could forget that wild triple bogey?

Hail delays Pebble and Phil about loses his mind having to finish Monday.

Great stuff!

Hola, amigo. The new site design scared me away for a little. And starting up that club manufacturing business has kept me busy. Getting close to a spring launch and about to have a big announcement soon. I have your email and plan on sending out an update about the company/product launch! Hope you're doing well. I've been lurking around here and see you still posting.
