What's your formula to avoid chafing down under?

I agree with Clint above. LOL Over my many years of sports and other activities, never been bothered by chafing and I've been in some seriously ugly conditions and places, including swamps and jungles. Never had anyone ask me about chafing either.

First, ditch the cotton.. Second, you gotta stay dry down there. Third, if that is impossible try a creme .. As a cyclist in Tennessee I use creams all the time. DZ Nuts and Assos are my favorite..

I had to withdraw from a tournament last season because my legs were chaffed so bad. 36 hole qualifier in 95 degrees and humid. Only made it 27 holes before I couldn't walk any longer.

In rural America Bag Balm is the go to salve for just about everything. My Dad used to put in on the cows udders that became chafed. That is what it is made for but humans found it worked for them as well.

Now I am hearing: “You don’t have to be lonely at Farmers Only dot com."

Thank you for moving this topic to its proper category. I will cease my whining and promise to avoid any future discussions about taint chafing.

Aquafore with the redline (forget what type it is). Had this recommended to me by a doctor. Went from not being able to walk to 0 chaffing. It's a goop like vasoline and litteraly prevents your skin from touching (think like how oil prevents metal parts from wear). I like it over the dry spray because your skin still rubs with dry spray.

I'm a skinny guy so no problem with chafing thighs. Used to use powder but stopped cause it just didn't do much except make a mess putting it on. Cotton briefs. And yeah I know no help to this thread.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.

And for those who never experienced chafing, thanks for all of your derogatory comments when you have never experienced the issue! It was fun reading.

In a climate where it can be 95 degrees and 80% humidity with little shade, chafing can really mess you up, even if you are not overweight.

I already use compression / boxer briefs but that is many times not enough. Gold bond was only good for milder days

I ended up using Body Glide for everyday use. This stuff is great and lasts along time. I had zero issue in my last golf outing. 2 other guys who used nothing were both walking like cowboys after a few days.

I also bought DZ Nuts Chamois Cream for end of day application in case I still had some irritation.

More like deodorant. I don’t wear it often (rarely for body chaffing avoidance, occasionally for blister prevention on feet), but when I do, I don’t even notice it.

Yes, washes off easily.

And again, I’ll recommend Gold Bond Friction Defense stick as a cheaper, just as effective option for feet or body.

Body Glide is an outstanding product. They used to see small single use packets of their liquid version of Body Glide. They were the perfect size to keep a few in a travel shaving kit, in a golf bag, etc... just so they were available if you unexpectedly needed something when you were away from home.
